Kauai
Kauai is
absolutely stunning! Regarded by many as the most
beautiful of all these islands, it is green almost beyond belief,
with low key tourism, mainly catered for by quality hotels and
condominiums. Poipu Beach has the best sun record on the
island, but to see and explore the whole island is a must.
Beaches are an important feature of
much of Kauai's coastline. Anahola Beach Park on the north
eastern coast has calm water ideal for swimming. Beaches
in the Hanalei area, made famous by the film 'South Pacific', come
close to paradise as it is possible to find. Stretches of the
coastline are mountainous, particularly at Na Pali where
spectacular cliffs rise a thousand feet out of the ocean. Sea
and air are the most comfortable way to view this stunning
scenery. Intrepid explorers can reach this area by foot along
challenging hiking trails.
The Pacific's 'Grand Canyon' can be
found in the western part of Kauai. Waimea Canyon is magnificent with
a multitude of rust, brown, amethyst and green hues in the
various types of rock - a budding geologists heaven! It is a
truly glorious sight and can be viewed from roadside lookouts, or
more dramatically by helicopter.
Activities abound on this beautiful
island and include watersports, sailing, tennis and golf. For
the more adventurous, horse riding is an excellent way of viewing
less accessible areas. Shopping, dining and entertainment are not
forgotten. Shops selling jewellery, gifts and specialities
are to be found in all resort areas as are a huge range of
restaurants, cafes and bars.

Hawaiian chain are all very different and each can offer a diverse
