Set in 25 acres of tropical gardens
on the east shore of the island, just 10 minutes from the main town
of Lihue and with a secluded 3 miles of walking beach, the Kauai
Beach Resort offers a very relaxed atmosphere in which to
enjoy all that Kauai has to offer.
This hotel's centrepiece is the
main pool area, with its waterfalls, water slides, caves, fountains
and jacuzzis. The design affords a great environment in which
to relax and soak up the Hawaiian sun, or to spalsh and have fun
with the kids, and all just a few steps away from the beach.
The Kauai Beach Resort has 350
guest rooms and suites, in four 3-storey buildings surrounding the
pool area. They offer 1 King or 2 Double beds, ensuite bathroom
with bath/shower and hair dryer, air conditioning, work desk and
chair, wired internet access (fee), mini fridge, tea/coffee making
facilities, cable TV with pay-per-view movies, telephone, alarm
clcok/radio with MP3 port, iron and ironing board, in-room safe and
private balcony with mountain or sea views.
The suites are more spacious, some
offering separate bedroom and living room, with junior suites
providing 1 large room, but all have bedroom area, living area,
upgraded marble ensuite bathoom and large private lanai.
The Kauai Beach Resort has a few
dining options for you to enjoy. The Naupaka Terrace
Restaurant offers a Hawaiian and Asian-Pacific style dinner menu,
with seafood and steaks, salads and pastas, and a daily breakfast
buffet or a la carte beakfast menu. The open air terrace
overlooks the pools and waterfalls, for a lovely view whilst you
dine. The Naupaka Cafe also offers grab 'n' go options,
wraps, bakery items and Hawaiian coffees. The Driftwood Bar
& Grille offers poolside light meals and snack, tropical
drinks, and has a daily happy hour from 3-5pm and live music on
Saturday nights. Shutters Lounge also has a happy hour from
5-7pm and serves a light menu of salads, pizza and burgers, and a
full bar of specialty drinks, beers and wines. Room service
is available from 6.30am though to 10.00pm, and the Island Market
Place Gift Shop also serves specialty coffees, sandwiches, snacks
and ice creams. Alternatively, Lihue town centre is only a
few miles away, with shops, bars and restaurants to explore.
The Kauai Beach Resort offers a
range on amenities and facilities to make your stay more enjoyable.
The large pool complex in the centre of the Resort offers 4
pools, waterfalls, slides and grottos. There is also a well
equiped fitness centre, the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa and Salon,
offering a range of massage, body and skin treatments, a
business centre with fax, email and photocopying facilities, and an
activites and tours desk. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet Access
is available in the lobby and in rooms for a fee
The Kauai Beach Resort is ideally
located for exploring Kauai, and many of the most popular
attractions in the area are only a few miles from the hotel.
Lihue town centre is just 5 miles away and we recommend using
a hire car for ease of travelling. There is a car hire desk
on site if you don't prebook from the airport.
The Resort is quite quiet and laid
back and not recommended for the party animals! Although it
is right on the beach, it is not a great beach for swimming,
snorkeling or other water sports, due to large rocky patches and
coral, but for sun bathing on the sand or just paddling, the beach
is fine.

Children of all ages are welcome. Children 17 years old
and under stay FREE when they share the room with accompanying
adults using the existing beds.
The resort is 5 mins from the airport and they offer a
complimentary shuttle service for guests.
Private transfers can be arranged on request, however, we do
recommend a hire care on Kauai, as there is not a large network of
public transport, and for ease and freedom to travel around
the many attractions the island has to offer.

Currently, there are no non-stop
flights from the UK to the Hawaiian Islands, mainly due to the
distance from the UK. The most convenient way of getting there is
via a connection at an American or Canadian city, and the following
is a list of the Airlines that offer through service to the islands
and the routes they operate.
Air
Canada: Offer daily connecting flights to
Honolulu from Heathrow via Toronto or Vancouver
United
Airlines: Offer through services with same
day connections from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and
Heathrow via Newark, Washington, Los Angeles and San Francisco to
Honolulu (Oahu), Maui, Kauai and Kona (Hawaii Big island). They
also offer non-stop flights from Chicago and Denver to Honolulu
American
Airlines: Offer through services with same
day connections from Heathrow via Los Angeles to Maui, Kauai and
Kona (Hawaii Big island). They also offer non-stop flights from
Dallas to Honolulu and Maui
Alaska
Airlines: Offer flights from Anchorage,
Seattle and Portland to Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii Big Island and
Kauai, which can be used in conjunction with other airlines from
the UK
Delta
Airlines: Currently, no Delta flights
from the UK make a same day connection to their Hawaiian
flights, so an overnight stay will be required. However, they can
offer a same day connection by using Virgin Atlantic's flight from
Heathrow to LA, They offer non-stop flights to Honolulu
(Oahu) from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit and Salt Lake City,
and to Maui from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City
Hawaiian
Airlines: They provide a large range of
flights from cities in the American West to Honolulu and Maui.
Their flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose,
Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix can be used in
connection with other carriers flights from the UK. They also
provide a weekly service between Honolulu and Tahiti, currently
operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
Korean
Air: Offer a very competitive price for
flights to Honolulu from Heathrow via Seoul in South Korea, but it
is the long way around.
Domestic Flights around the
Islands
There are currently two major
domestic airlines operating in Hawaii; Island Air, and Hawaiian Airlines. They operate an extensive domestic
flight network covering all the islands, with frequent and regular
departures operating between 6am and 9 pm
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for
private charters throughout Hawaii, so arranging charters between
the main and/or outer islands is very easy. At this time, there are
no seaplanes available for chartering in the Hawaiian chain, which
is a little disappointing for flying boat fans!
