The Mangapapa Lodge is a grand,
colonial-style 1885 historic homestead, set in twenty acres of
apple and peach orchards and manicured gardens in the heart of New
Zealand's Hawke's Bay Wine Country.
A grand veranda wraps around the
upper storey of the house, with lovely views over the gardens and
providing shade to the ground floor rooms, very welcome in the warm
summer months.
The Lodge has 12 individual luxury
suites and rooms, all elegantly furnished, well appointed and
beautifully decorated. The room categories are: Deluxe Rooms,
Cottage Suites, Homestead Junior Suite, Homestead Suite, Lady
Wattie's Suite, Lady Watties's Junior Suite and the Mangapapa
Suite. The Deluxe Rooms and the Homestead Suites are in the
main building, the Cottage Suites in an adjacent building and the
LAdy Wattie's Suites in a separate building set in the pretty
gardens, with lovely views.
The accommodation rooms and
suites provides 1 King, 1 Double or 2 Single beds,
ensuite facilities with complimentary handmade toiletries
and some with separate walk-in shower, individually
controlled air conditioning and underfloor heating, satellite
television, easy chair, and some rooms have lounge areas
with sofas and coffee table, tea and coffee making facilities,
minibar and views over the gardens or the pool. Suites
on the upper floor also have opening doors onto
the colonial-atyle wrap-around veranda. 2 Cottage
Suites, are located in a separate cottage, 50 metres from the main
lodge, and offer large separate lounges and doors opening onto a
private patio with access to the landscaped gardens.
The final Suite is the unique
Mangapapa Suite, which is a 1-bedroom apartment on the upper floor
of the main lodge, with luxurious en suite bathroom with spa bath,
separate bedroom with 2 queen beds, separate living room with
lounge suite, coffee table and display wall unit with flat screen
Sky TV and doors to the verandah with views over the
landscaped gardens, swimming pool and tennis courts.
The Managapapa Lodge has an
elegant restaurant for guests to enjoy a fine selection from
the gourmet dinner menu of fresh, local and homegrown produce to
complement New Zealands finest meat and fish, along with a wide
variety of local and national New Zealand wines.
Breakfast, included in the room rates, is served in the
light and airy conservatory, and offers fresh baked breads, cooked
meats and eggs any style, and fresh fruits and juices. Lunch
is available in the restaurant, or can be packed as a picnic for
you to take into the gardens or out on a day trip with you.
The Mangapapa Lodge has a tennis
court, a heated outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna,
internet access, golf, fitness room and a health spa
retreat, if relaxing is just right for you.

required. The Lodge is 15-25 minutes from Napier Airport
- shuttle buses and taxis available if you prefer.
If you are driving on tour, the Lodge is three and a half hour
drive from Rotorua, 2 hours from Taupo or 4 hours from
Wellington and the South.

offering one-stop, same carrier flights from the UK to New Zealand,
with most going into Auckland.
Air New Zealand: Operate
a daily service from Heathrow via Los Angeles to Auckland,
and a daily service, except Monday, from Heathrow to
Auckland Via Hong Kong, with extensive connecting flights to all
major cities and towns throughout both islands.
Korean Air: Offer daily
flights to Auckland via Seoul from Heathrow.
Singapore Airlines:
Offer daily flights to Auckland and Christchurch via Singapore from
Heathrow and Manchester
Emirates Airlines:
Offer daily flights to Auckland and Christchurch, and other
destination in Australia, via Dubai, from Heathrow, Gatwick,
Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow
Thai Airways: Offer
five flights a week to Auckland via Bangkok.

daily connecting flights over Sydney to Auckland,

The Lodge offers to Executive Rooms, the Andorra on the upper floor, and the Verona on the ground floor. Deluxe Suites
The Deluxe Suites are located on the ground floor of the homestead and are all individually furnished and decorated. They offer ensuite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and walk-in showers, 1 Super-King bed, or 2 Single beds that can be put together to make a Super-King bed, individually controlled air conditioning and heating, lounge area with sofa, chair and coffee table or desk, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, large multiple windows and some have opening french doors to the patio and gardens.

Executive Suites
