New Zealand's InterCity
Coachlines/Newmans bus services connect the major cities, and
some of the smaller towns en route, of both the North and South
Islands, as well as connecting both the islands by way of the ferry
connection between Wellington and Picton.
The bus service offers the ideal alternative for those
clients who do not wish to drive themselves.
With over 150 daily services,
it is possible to construct a tour of either island or both
islands, based totally on InterCity's scheduled
services. The only restrictions you have over a selfdrive
holiday, is that you are governed by the scheduled departure time
of each bus and the route it take. You cannot just stop
to take in the sights as you wish, and there is an
appreciable amount of handling your
luggage between the bus stop and your selected hotel. Taxis
may be required if your chosen hotel is not close to a particular
bus stop or station.
InterCity/Newmans offer a range of
fares to fit all requirements, covering instant purchase and
early booking discounts, which can start from as low as NZ$2 per
journey! We will base your individual itinerary on the
best fare offer available at your time of enquiry or
booking.
