Our Prices

As you will see, there are no prices shown on this site for a total holiday package, except in the Suggested Itineraries , and Special Offers section.  This is because all our holidays are tailor-made to your specific requirements, so prices will vary from client to client.

On our site, we do show the per night costs for individual room types for most of our featured properties. This is for clients who just want to book accommodation only with us.  These prices are subject to possible changes without notice due the almost daily exchange rate fluctuations and possible price increases from the various properties.  To confirm the prices or obtain the current prices for your desired time of travel, call our reservations team on 01342 840555

To help you with your planning, we have compiled a selection of Suggested Itineraries to offer an idea of the price ranges for an example holiday to the South Pacific.   However, these itineraries can be booked as shown if you find one that fits your requirements.

If you're thinking of going to French Polynesia, the following information will be a general guide to the costs:- For travelling in April, May or November, flying economy class, staying 12 nights, visiting two islands, including all transfers and accommodation in a Beach bungalow, but excluding food, the price will be in the region of  £3400 - £3900 per person, based on double occupancy.  During other times of the year, the price will be higher due to the increased airfares. and the increase in accommodation costs.  It's common to all the major properties in French Polynesia that they have two seasons for pricing, the low season which is from 1st November to the 31May, (with most having a Christmas and New Year period increase), and a high season running from June 1st to October 31.  If you want to stay in an Overwater bungalow for one of the weeks, this price will increase by approximately £800 to £800 each.  Also, if you stay in a garden room, the price will be lower by £200 - £300 each.

A 12-night stay in French Polynesia for under £2999 per person is do able, just! But the accommodation will be in two or three star grade hotels or pensions and will only be available on Tahiti or Moorea.  Currently there are no inter island passenger ferry services between all the islands, (except between Tahiti and Moorea) so all travel has to be by air, and the inter-island flights are not cheap.

For travelling to the other major island destinations in the Pacific, Fiji,The Cook Islands or Samoa for example, and using the same parameters as staying in French Polynesia, the cost will be approximately £2800 - £3500 per person.  Plus two week stays for under £2600 each are more available, as these Islands offer a much wider range of accommodation, with 2 and 3 star hotels being more readily available.  Also, their costs are not based on the Euro, which is currently adding greatly to the cost of a holiday to French Polynesia.

When planning your trip we would suggest that you set a budget, as this will greatly assist us to provide you with the best itinerary to match your requirements. We appreciate that you may be reluctant to give a budget as you may feel that we will just sell you up to the budget, like double glazing or driveway paving companies have a habit of doing. But purchasing travel in the South Pacific does not work that way, for ninety nine percent of the time, you will get what you pay for - the lower the budget, the lower the experience.  But we will always offer you the best options available, and, if that price is under your budget, then that is the price we will quote you.

To really get the best from your South Pacific holiday, or honeymoon, we would recommend that you do not spend all the time on one island, as the islands are all very different and afford the visitor very different experiences. This applies to all the island nations in the Pacific, so just ask your Travel Agent or call our reservations team and we will be happy to provide you with your tailor-made quote.

So as we said previously, please give us a call, as we will be happy to provide you with as many itineraries as required.  We will keep doing them until we find the one that best suits your requirements and expectations.

Meal costs

None of our quotes will automatically include the cost of meals, unless they are included by the hotel in their room costs. To date it has not been the practice for the hotels and resorts in the South Pacific to include meals in the basic cost of their rooms, except sometimes for Breakfast.  Most of the properties in the Cook Islands do, along with many in Fiji, plus there are a growing number of resorts in French Polynesia who are also including Breakfast.  Most of the leading properties do offer meal plans that can be pre-purchased. In Fiji there are a small number of all-inclusive resorts, and they are all in the top end of the market as far as price.

In Hawaii there are very few hotels that will include breakfast or offer prepurchased meal plans. However, as there are so many dinning options in Hawaii, we would say this is not a problem, as eating out is sometimes the better option!

We do not recommend pre-purchasing meals, as there is very little price saving between paying locally and pre-purchasing. You would only have to miss one pre-booked meal and you would be in a deficit. We feel that this is very likely to happen given your body clock change and the general reduction of appetite, which occurs in a tropical climate.

Also, on the bigger islands there are many alternative places to eat, such as independent restaurants and other hotels restaurants, where visitors are welcome. We feel that a visit to one of these will add to the enjoyment of your stay.

However, if you would prefer to pre-purchase your meals to assit with your budgeting, please let us know at the time of requesting your quotation and we will be happy to include them.

How we have rated the resorts

Because of their locations, it is not, in our opinion, reasonable to apply the same criteria to grading a hotel in the South Pacific, as you would for one say in London or the USA. Transpacific's grading takes into account not only the facilities offered by the property but also its sympathy and harmony with its natural surroundings and the experience the visitor gets from just being there! Our ratings do not reflect the room standard, as these will vary from property to property. We have included detailed descriptions of the rooms available at the resorts featured in our brochure, and on this site. Should you need more details on the islands and properties offered, or any other resort or islands that we have not featured, please call our reservations team, as we will be happy to assist you.

The gradings are very personal to our own assessments of the hotel's ability to match up to the guest's expectations, influenced by our collective belief that it's a long way to travel to end up staying in something mediocre, that could possibly be a disappointment and take the shine off your trip!

So if you're thinking of a trip to paradise, give us a call and let us help you have the holiday experience of a lifetime, that hopefully, will exceed your expectations!

The price of your holiday is the price quoted at the time you make your reservation. To protect that price against possible air fare increases or currency surcharges, you should make full payment to TRANSPACIFIC as soon as possible. Full payment guarantees you against any cost increases for your holiday.

If TRANSPACIFIC should be required to levy surcharges and at that time we have not recieved your full payment then we will absorb surcharges up to 2% of the value of the holiday, any excess surcharges will be levied up to a maximum of 5% of the holiday value. (Any increases in Government imposed taxes charges are not covered by this guarantee). All prices other than scheduled service airfares are based on the rates of exchange as published in the Financial Times on the day of your booking.

Some flight arrangements are based on scheduled airlines, and are subject to airline imposed fare increases. These can be applied for many reasons other than fuel or currency price variations, so to protect the cost of your holiday we strongly recommend that you pay in full at the time of booking.
