The Blanket Bay Lodge is situated on the shores of the northern end of Lake Wakatipu, overlooked by the snow capped peaks of the Southern Alps, and is approximately a 40 minute drive from Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand.

Accommodation at Blanket Bay Lodge is provided in five intimate Lodge Rooms, three generous Lodge Suites in the Main Lodge House, and four semi-detached Chalets, all filled with sumptuous furnishings and elegant decor, chosen carefully to echo the Lodge's intergration with the environment. All the accommodation within the Lodge has been placed to take advantage of the magnificent lake and mountain views.

The 400sqft Lodge Rooms feature a superking size bed with luxury linens and bedding, ensuite bathroom with double vanities, bath and separate shower, large armoire, TV with DVD player, Bose iPod docking station, IDD telephone, air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet access, a comfortable sitting area, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows with access to a private furnished balcony or terrace with stunning views of the lake and the mountains beyond.

The 700sqft Lodge Suites offer the same amenties as the Lodge rooms, and additionally offer a larger, separated sitting area with stone fireplace, a walk-in closet, steam showers and a huge stone balcony with furniture.

Adjacent to the main Lodge are the 4 Chalet Suites, which are 700 sqft, and have been built using local schist stone and reclaimed timbers from an old steamer ship wharf.  They feature the same amenities as the Lodge Suites, but also feature their own private courtyard with access to the gardens and grounds.  The Chalet Suites can also be combined with an additional, separate living room, with its own private courtyard, lake view deck and fireplace, to make up the Richardson Stateroom; ideal for families or two couples travelling together.

The Lodge has several dining options both indoors, outdoors and even underground in the wine cave.  Dinner is normally served in the Lake View Dining Room with its beamed ceiling and stone fireplace.  For a more intimate affair, the Wine Cave can be reserved (for up to 6 people).  On warmer evenings, guests can enjoy their dinner on The Terrace, a magnificent setting with views of the Lake and Mountains. The Chefs at the Lodge use the best regional produce New Zealand has to offer and produce gourmet food full of flavour and style that has won the Blanket Bay many awards and acolades.
