Paradise Taveuni is a small, boutique, family-owned 4-star Resort on the southern end of Taveuni island, just 1 hour drive from Matei Airport,  just across the straight from Vanua Levu Island.

The Resort is on the site of a slightly unloved hostel which the family bought in 2006, and have completely transformed it over the last 7 years, after razing the old building to the ground, and building 17 new bungalows, the open-air Ocean View Restaurant, Teki Teki Bar, an ocean-front infinity pool and a day Spa, all in 5 acres of landscaped tropical gardens.  Sadly, they had to close for several periods in 2016, after the Resort was severly damaged during Tropical Cyclone Winston.  But they have rebuilt and restored everything, and have taken the opportunity to refurbish the bungalows at the same time.

The 17 bungalows are available in 3 grades: Tropical Bure, located a short walk from the beach in the tropical gardens with views through to the ocean, Oceanfront Bure, just a few steps from the sand overlooking the sea, and the Oceanfront Air-Conditioned Vale Lomani.  2 Vale Lomani rooms can be interconnecting to make a family room to sleep up to 2 adults and 4 children.

Each bure has been hand built with local coconut and raintree wood, traditional thatched roof and all the furniture has been handmade using the same local craftsmen and timbers. They offer 1 king bed plus 2 single bunk beds, (some king beds can be split into 2 singles if required) in a separate bedroom, a modern ensuite bathroom with bathtub/shower, double vanities, hairdryer, complimentary Pure FIJI toiletries, bathrobes and access to a private courtyard garden with outdoor shower, and in the Oceanfront Bures, there is a jacuzzi.  Separate towels are also provided for use on the beach.  There is a comfy lounge with mini-bar and fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, in-room safe, and sliding glass doors opening onto a private sundeck with table, chairs and Fijian daybed.  There is also French doors from the bedroom area to the deck.

Oceanfront Vale Lomani are set just a few steps from the beach, with views of the sea. They are a little smaller than the Oceanfront Bures with just a single large room with a king bed (or 2 singles on request) small sitting area with similar amenities as the Tropical Bure and are attached in 2 blocks of 3 Vales, 2x of which are interconnecting to make a Family Vale. There is also 1 detached Vale, ideal for a honeymoon couple, or anyone wanting oceanfront romance!  The outside bathroom has a shower and jacuzzi in the courtyard garden, and the main room has air conditioning and doors opening to the deck. Extra beds can be added if required.  The Family Vales can have a variety of bed configurations utilising King and single beds, to accomodate up to 2 adults and 4 children up to 12 years or could just be 4 adults in 2 King beds if required.

The open-air Ocean View Restaurant overlooks the infinity pool and has panoramic ocean views from the terrace.  From their brand new modern kitchen run by an international chef, they offer a varied menu using fresh, organic local produce where available, and a tropical and cooked breakfast, 1 course lunch or picnic and 2 course dinner are included each day per guest.   The Teki Teki bar is near the pool, and is open from 8.00am each day offering freshly-squeezed fruit juices, fresh fruit smoothies, soft drinks and refreshing cocktails, along with a good selection of Australian and New Zealand wines, local and international beers and spirits.

As Paradise Taveuni is an almost-all-inclusive resort, your meals and a selection of soft drinks are included in the price of your bure, and each day you would have a tropical continental breakfast, a 1 course lunch (or picnic), a 2 course dinner, tea and coffee, freshly baked cookies and a selection of soft drinks and juices.  Alcoholic drinks are available to purchase, as are meal upgrades for a full cooked breakfast, 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner, or even a romantic 4 course seafood dinner for 2, including fresh lobster, and a dining location of your choice.  Seafood feast on the beach under the stars?

Paradise Taveuni offer a huge range of complimentary activities for guests, as well as a library, selection of board games, free internet access, and freshwater infinity swimming pool to enjoy.  Activities include snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, guided culture and nature walks, frond weaving, sulu (Fijian skirt or sarong) tying and coconut tree climbing demos and lessons, fish feeding and you can even help prepare and bury the traditional Fijian Lovo Barbecue meal, which you can then eat for dinner that evening (small additional fee).  The beautiful Lavena coastal walk is a not-to-be-missed activity, which takes you strolling to beautiful white sand beaches, rainforest pockets and a waterfall with swimming pool at its base; just one of the great things to do here!

There are also many paid activities at Paradise Taveuni, on-site and nearby.  The on-site dive school, Pro Dive Taveuni, is owned by the resort, and offers a range of courses and dive excursions for all ages and experiences, including the brand new Nitrox experience dive. There is deep water access from right infront of the resort, and is a popular place for divers from all over the world.
