Just a few steps away from Waikiki Beach, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is set in its own lush landscaped gardens and is central to all of Waikiki's shopping, dining and entertainment.
At present, (mid-2013), the Princess Kaiulani is in the middle of a massive refubishment, costing over $500m, which started in 2011 and is due to be completely finished sometime in 2014. The updating of the property includes the building of a brand new 33-storey building, the Ainahau Tower, which almost doubled the rooms available. All of the major building work is now complete and the rooms will be completely refurbished during 2014, though this work should not affect guests staying at the time.
The hotel now has 1142 very well appointed rooms and suites, spread over 3 individual buildings; the Ainahau Tower, the Princess Wing and the Kaiulani Wing, most of which feature private lanais with ocean or mountain views. The rooms have all been decorated in soft tones of cream and pale turquoise with light wood furniture, giving a calming, Hawaiian ambiance. They offer 1 King or 2 Double beds, air conditioning, ensuite bathroom with bath/shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, flat-screen TV with cable and movie channels, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and patio doors to a private balcony.
Dining is varied at the Princess Kaiulani. The Pikake Terrace serving a huge breakfast buffet with omelet station and lavish themed evening buffets, as well as an a la carte menu offering salads, sandwiches,seafood and steaks. The Splash Bar & Bento serves Japanese bento boxes alongside an Asian-American light bite menu, offering salads, sandwiches, soups and fresh seafood.
Also, as guests at the Princess Kaiulani, if you don't want to eat in, you can visit any of the other 3 Starwood Waikiki properties (Sheraton Waikiki, Moana Surfrider and Royal Hawaiian), dine in any of their restaurants and charge it back to your room, as part of their 'Stay at One, Dine at All' programme. Additionally, the many restaurants of Waikiki are only a short walk away.
And you can discover the rhythms and dances of the South Pacific at the Hotels' twice nightly Polynesian Show, live in the grounds each night.
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani has a freshwater swimming pool, with a pool bar and complimentary beach towells and umbrellas, and for the more energetic, there is a large, well-equipped Fitness Centre and a wide range of watersports is available on the beach. Golf and tennis can be also be arranged nearby.
The hotel provides a range of services for guests, such as computor room, business centre, excursions and ticket desk, Wi-Fi internet access throughout the whole hotel (fee), guest parking (fee), emergency medical assistance, currency exchange, room service, concierge, porter and security on duty, laundry and dry cleaning service, and conference facilities. They also offer a daily range of cultural, enviromental and arts and crafts activities, most of which are ideal for children.
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is in an ideal location right on the main Kalakaua Avenue, with all its many shops, bars and restaurants, and just across the road from Waikiki Beach.

Child Policy
Children of all ages are welcome and well catered for. Children 17 years old and under stay FREE when they share the room with accompanying adults and use the existing beds.
Airport Transfers
Private round trip airport transfers are £33.00 per person.
Starwood Resorts do operate a shared shuttle bus to their 4 properties in Waikiki. This costs $13 one way or $24 round trip and must be booked minimum 24 hours before your arrival or departure.
The resort is 10mins from the airport.

Currently, there are no non-stop flights from the UK to the Hawaiian Islands, mainly due to the distance from the UK. The most convenient way of getting there is via a connection at an American or Canadian city, and the following is a list of the Airlines that offer through service to the islands and the routes they operate.
Air Canada: Offer daily connecting flights to Honolulu from Heathrow via Toronto or Vancouver
United Airlines: Offer through services with same day connections from Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Heathrow via Newark, Washington, Los Angeles and San Francisco to Honolulu (Oahu), Maui, Kauai and Kona (Hawaii Big island). They also offer non-stop flights from Chicago and Denver to Honolulu
American Airlines: Offer through services with same day connections from Heathrow via Los Angeles to Maui, Kauai and Kona (Hawaii Big island). They also offer non-stop flights from Dallas to Honolulu and Maui
Alaska Airlines: Offer daily flights from Anchorage, Seattle and Portland to Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii Big Island and Kauai, which can be used in conjunction with other airlines from the UK
Delta Airlines: Currently, no Delta flights from the UK make a same day connection to their Hawaiian flights, so an overnight stay will be required. However, they can offer a same day connection by using Virgin Atlantic's flight from Heathrow to LA, They offer non-stop flights to Honolulu (Oahu) from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit and Salt Lake City, and to Maui from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City
Hawaiian Airlines: They provide a large range of flights from cities in the American West to Honolulu and Maui. Their flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix can be used in connection with other carriers flights from the UK. They also provide a weekly service between Honolulu and Tahiti, currently operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
Korean Air:
Offer a very competitive price for flights to Honolulu from
Heathrow via Seoul in South Korea, but it is the long way
around.
Domestic Flights around the Islands
There are currently three domestic airlines operating in Hawaii; Aloha Island Air, Hawaiian Airlines and Go!. They operate an extensive domestic flight network covering all the islands, with frequent and regular departures operating between 6am and 9 pm
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for
private charters throughout Hawaii, so arranging charters between
the main and/or outer islands is very easy. At this time, there are
no seaplanes available for chartering in the Hawaiian chain, which
is a little disappointing for flying boat fans!

Pricing Policy
Prices are based on a per room, per night, room only basis for single or double occupancy. Additional meal plan prices available on request.
The Resort charges $25 per room per day resort fee (correct as of 01May13), which covers facilities such as free Wi-Fi, self parking for 1 car, free local telephone calls, 60 mins per day of long distance or international calls, 2 bottles of water per room per day, free dining for children under 5 from selected children's menus, free beach services including sand chairs, towels, fresh fruit and water service in designated seating areas and 2 fruit punch drinks on arrival.
The room rates shown do not include this fee, but when we put together a full quote for you, it will include all fees and taxes that we are aware of.

The City Side View Rooms were originally designed to be used for overnighting airline crew, and as such, are more compact than the other rooms, at around 200sqft/18.5sqm, but are ideal for guest on a budget.
