Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

Set on the famous Waikiki Beach, the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort offers over 500 very comfortably furnished rooms & suites, many with wonderful beach and Diamond Head views.  Located almost in the centre of Waikiki Beach, the Outrigger Waikiki is close to everything along the beachfront and the town inland.  The hotel offers traditional Hawaiian elegance with contemporary island style, with a seated Reception and little special touches in your room, to really welcome you to a friendly paradise.

 

The 497 Guest Rooms and 30 Suites were all updated and redecorated during 2012, and are still clean and fresh, with warm wood furniture and island colour decor.  The Guest Rooms offer 1 King or 2 Double beds, ensuite bathroom with bath/shower and complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, telephone, TV with pay-per-view movies, Nintendo game console, high speed Wi-Fi internet access, alarm clock/radio, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, In-room safe, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-fridge, work desk and chair, and private furnished lanai with sea views.

 

Suites offer spacious accommodation, with a separate bedroom, with 1 King or 2 Double beds, a separate living room with sitting area with double sofa bed, dining area and 2 private furnished lanais, ideal for families or groups of friends.  They offer the same basic amenities as the Guest Rooms.

 

Guests have a choice of 4 restaurants and a Seattle Coffee Shop within the hotel.  Chuck's Steakhouse offers a great beachfront setting, with prime steaks, fresh island seafood and a salad bar on the menu. Dukes Canoe Club, restaurant and open air bar, also overlooking the beach, offers grilled chicken, steaks and fish, but is very popular with visitors and locals alike, so pick your dining time carefully during busy holiday times.  The Hula Grill has a great view over the beach and offers reasonably priced breakfasts, and popular steak and seafood dinner menu.  Pai's Deli serves sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks, for a grab 'n' go bite and the Seattle Coffee shop offers coffees, drinks, sandwiches and snacks.

 

If you don't want to eat in the hotel, there are many more dining choices at the nearby Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre, and along Kalakaua Avenue, directly in front of the hotel, Ala Wai Boulevard, a few blocks back from the beach, and all the smaller roads inbetween.

 

There are several guest lounges, a business centre, several shops and boutiques, the Waikiki Plantation Spa, a well-equipped fitness centre, a large, beachfront pool and a whirlpool spa, that were enlarged, retiled and refurbished in 2012, in which to spend many pleasant hours.  In addition, all the attractions of Waikiki, the beach with many ocean activities and Honolulu are close at hand.  There are daily Hawaiian Cultural Activites to take part in, such as flower lei making or ukulele lessons, and an Activites and Tour desk that can book tours and excursions for you elsewhere around the island.

 

At the Outrigger Reef, you are located right in the best part of Waikiki Beach, on Queens' Beach, which gives you access to everything the beach and downtown Waikiki has to offer, but this does mean in peak holiday times, the hotel, restaurants and the beach can get very busy. Something to consider when choosing your dates of travel.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcomed and catered for.  Children 17 years and under stay FREE when they share the room with accompanying adults and use the existing beds.

Airport Transfers

Round trip airport transfers are £33.00 per person.  The resort is approximately 15-25 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic conditions.

 

If hiring a car, the Resort has on-site parking in a 6-storey parking garage, with easy access to all towers.  The daily charge is $25 for self parking and $35 for valet parking.  We recommend using public transport, taxis or walking around the Honolulu/Waikiki area, as everything is quite close, and only hiring a car for the days you may want to venture further afield.
