Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Four Seasons Resort, Bora Bora, is a beautiful, luxury resort that will cater to your every South Seas dream - white sand beaches, palm trees, tropical flowers and the most gorgeous turquoise, calm, warm lagoon, and all with impeccable service and ultimate luxury that Four Seasons are famous for.

Located on a private motu, or island, in the string of coral islets surrounding the Bora Bora lagoon and the main island, the Four Seasons Resort, Bora Bora is very new, having only opened in September 2008.

The Resort has 103 Bungalows and villas, with 96 bungalows being the popular overwater bungalow, with amazing views of the lagoon and Mounts Otemanu and Pahia, just across the other side of the turquoise lagoon, and seven 2- or 3-bedroomed beachfront villas.  All the bungalows and villas are inspired by local architecture, and are designed using traditional teak wood, panadanus leaf thatched roofs and Polynesian artworks.  They all offer en suite bathrooms with complimentary  L'Occitane toiletries, thick bathrobes and hairdryer, King or Queen size beds, sofa bed, in-room safe, tea & coffee making facilities, refrigerated bar with bottled water, telephone, Satelite TV, CD & DVD player, Internet access and wide opening doors to a private sundeck.

The 1-bedroom Overwater Bungalow Suites are accessed via 2 branching pontoons with a separate walkway to each bungalow, and have views towards the beach, the resort, out over the lagoon or across to Mount Otemanu. The spacious living room has seating for four, including a queen sofabed, a well-defined work area, a multi-line telephone with voice mail, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a plasma screen television, a built-in safe and a fully stocked private bar. The private deck extends the length of the bungalow, and is accessed from the bedroom and the living room.  There is a ladder for access into the lagoon and also a dining table with two chairs. Four large glass panels, including one in the floor looking down into the lagoon below, flood the bathroom with light by day and invite the moonlight to reflect the waves of the ocean by night. The bathroom, which opens onto a wooden deck, also features a double vanity, an oversized tub and a separate shower.  Some of the Overwater Bungalows also have private plunge pools on the deck.

The Otemanu Overwater Bungalow is located on the very end of the pontoon, with stunning views of the lagoon and the mountains.  The spacious, luxury bungalow has 456 sqft of extra space, including a large bedroom with private ensuite bathroom, expansive living and dining room with additional guest bathroom, and a private sundeck that extends the entire length of the Bungalow, and has a plunge pool, covered seating area, a covered dining area, sunbathing area with 2 chaise longues and ladder for private access into the lagoon.

There are now 2 brand new 2-bedroom overwater villas, the Herenui and Poerava 2-bed Overwater Bungalow with private plunge pools, which offer 2 separate bedrooms with 1 King and 2 Queen beds, a separate living/dining room with 2 Queen sofa beds, meaning they can sleep up to 6 adults or 4 adults and up to 4 children under 12 years, have a large deck with private plunge pool and as they are located right at the ends of the pontoons, have uninterrupted panoramic views across the lagoon to the island and Mount Otemanu.

The 2- & 3-bedroomed Beachfront Villas are located in a quiet area to one side of the main Resort, with its own enclosed tropical garden, a lawn leading to the secluded  white sand beach and the lagoon beyond, and have their own private pool. The 2-bedroom villas feature a large entrance foyer, a living room with seating for six, including a queen sofabed, an adjacent dining room for up to six guests, a small pantry, a well-defined work area featuring a multi-line telephone with voice mail, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a plasma screen television, a built-in safe and a fully stocked private bar.  The master bedroom offers a king bed, a plasma screen television, an ensuite bathroom with lovely garden views, a full bathroom including a double vanity, an oversized tub and a separate shower, and a large private deck, with its own whirlpool nestling in the garden. The second bedroom has two queen beds, a plasma screen television and garden views from its bathroom. Another guest bathroom with shower is located off the living area.

The Otemanu 3-Bed Luxury Beachfront Villa offers spacious accommodation, including 2,152 sq ft of outside space, including sundeck, covered lanais, pool and dining areas.  The master bedroom and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are on separate sides of the Villa, with the living areas inbetween.  Each bedroom has its own private deck with lounge furniture, with the Master bedroom having an additional whirlpool jacuzzi.

The Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort has several dining options to experience, many of the Restaurants with stunning lagoon and beach views.  The Arii Moana is open for dinner and offers fresh seafood with fine wines, all with a sunset view. Open-air Tere Nui offers a huge breakfast buffet, casual lunches and varied dinner menu, including weekly themed evenings such as Mediterranean Night and BBQ.   The Sunset Restaurant & Bar is the perfect place to relax as the sun sets over the lagoon, with an asian inspired menu and favourite cocktails. Next to the main pool, the Fare Hoa Beach Bar is open all day for salads, sandwiches and light snacks with tropical cocktails and soft drinks.

The boat design features a shaded full bar, dining area and a rooftop sundeck.

The Resort has an inner lagoon in which the Ruahatu (God of the Ocean) Lagoon Sanctuary has been created.  More than just a fabulous snorkeling location, the Lagoon is also a research facility. Led by marine biologist Oliver Martin, the Lagoon Sanctuary offers activities for guests of all ages, including snorkelling, coral grafting discovery, discussions on Polynesian ecology, fish and octopus feeding and more. The Sanctuary is home to over 100 colourful species, including the octopus, eagle ray, lizardfish, Picasso trumpetfish, firefish, unicorn fish, parrotfish, peacock damselfish, clownfish and butterfly fish. Sea urchins, anemones and shrimp are also present, along with many other native species of marine life.  Complimentary guided snorkelling tours of the lagoon are offered to guests daily (one tour for children and another for adults) and the Lagoon Sanctuary is always open to guests who would like to explore on their own, participate in feedings or speak with Oliver about the incredible marine environment at the Resort.

And if you don't fancy the lagoon, there is an amazing wave-shaped infinity pool surrounded by a spacious pool deck with chaises longues, umbrellas and cabanas with attendants nearby to provide ice water, chilled towels and a water spritz to keep you cool.  Alternatively, enjoy a chilled drink or poolside food service from the pool-side Fare Hoa Beach Bar.

Back on dry sand, you can take part in many activities and excursions to fill the rest of your day.  They offer a well equipped open air fitness centre, beach volleyball, boules, tennis, and island excursions and tours. Or you can just kick back and relax on the white sand beach.
