There are no prices shown on this site or in our brochures. as all our holidays are tailor made to your specific requirements, so prices will vary from client to client.

To help you with your planning we would recommend that you do not spend all the time on one island, as the island are all very different and afford the visitor different experiences. So to price your desired itinerary or to discuss the different options you have available to you, just call your travel agent or call our reservations centre.

As a general guide the price for a two week visit to French Polynesia travelling in April, May or June, flying economy class, visiting two islands, including all transfers and accommodation, staying in a Beach bungalow, but excluding food will be in the region of £2900-£3200 per person based on double room occupancy. during other times of the year the price will be a little higher due to the increased airfares. In general the accommodation costs do not change throughout the year.

If you want to stay in an Overwater bungalow for one of the weeks this price will be increased by approximately £300 to £500 each. Also if you stay in a garden room the price will be less.

Using these same parameters for staying in French Polynesia a stay in Fiji, The Cook Islands and Samoa will be approximately £350 less per person.

A 12 night stay in French Polynesia for under £2000 each is do able, just!, but the accommodation will be in two or three star grade hotels or pensions and will only be in on Tahiti or Moorea,  as currently there are no inter island passenger ferry services between the islands, except between Tahiti and Moorea so all travel has to be by air, and the inter-island flights are not cheap!

So once you start to visit the outer islands you will start to add costs. However this is a cost that we feel is well worth making, as we believe that the experience of a stay on one of the low islands of the Tuamotu Atolls will give you a much wider enjoyment and understanding of French Polynesia, one much greater than you would gain by just staying on the Society Islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora.

Two week stays for under £2000 each are more available in Fiji, The Cook islands and Samoa as they offer a much wider range of accommodation, with 2 and 3 star hotels being available.

When planning your trip we would suggest that you set a budget as this will greatly assist us to provide you with the best itinerary to match your requirements. We appreciate that you may be reluctant to give a budget as you may feel that we will just sell you up to the budget, like double glazing and driveway paving companies have a habit of doing. But purchasing travel does not work like that, for ninety nine percent of the time you will get what you pay for, the lower the budget the lower the experiance.

So please give us a call as we will be happy to provide you with as many itineraries as required, we will keep doing them until we find the one that best suits you.

Meal Costs

As we advised in the previous item, none of our quotes will automatically include the cost of meals. It is not the current practise of the hotels and resorts in French Polynesia to include any meals in the basic cost of their rooms, this even includes Breakfast. Most of the leading properties do offer meal plans that can be pre-purchased. a number of hotels in the Fiji the Cook Islands do include breakfast, and in Fiji there are a number of all inclusive resorts, they are all in the top end of the market as far as price.

We however would not recommend pre-purchasing meals as there is very little price saving between paying locally and pre-purchasing, you would only have to miss one pre-booked meal and you would be in a deficit. And we feel that this is very likely to happen given your body clock change and the general reduction of appetite which occurs in a tropical climate.

Also on the bigger islands there are alternative places to eat, independent restaurants and the other hotels restaurants, where visitors are welcome. We feel that a visit to one of these will add to the enjoyment of your stay.

However if you would like to pre-purchase your meals please let us know at the time of requesting your quotation and we will be happy to include them.

How we have rated the resorts

Because of their locations it's not in our opinion reasonable to apply the same criteria to grading a hotel in the South Pacific, as you would to one in London. Transpacific's gradings take into account not only the facilities offered by the property but also its sympathy and harmony with its natural surroundings and the experience the visitor gets from just being there! Our ratings do not reflect the room standard as these will vary from property to property. We have included detailed descriptions of the rooms available at the resorts featured in the brochure, however should you need more details on these, or any other resort on any of the islands of the South Pacific not featured, please call our reservations centre as we will be happy to assist you.

The gradings are very personal to our own assessments of the hotel's ability to match up to the guest's expectations. And influenced by our collective belief that it's a long way to travel to end up staying in something mediocre!
