The Matavai Resort Hotel is Niue's most modern hotel, offering all the facilities one expects from a four star hotel. The hotel has been built on the cliff side overlooking the ocean, and designed to be in harmony with the island's natural terrain. With landscaping of coral outcrops, coconut palms, ferns and tropical flowers.

This area offers a spectacular view of the shoreline and the resident mammal wild life of turtles and dolphins, and during the months of August to October, Humpback Whales can be seen to cruise right past the resort.
The hotel has 24 rooms offering two queen-size beds, television, international direct dialling
telephone, fridge and have air conditioning with additional ceiling fans. The en-suite bathrooms
come with showers not baths. The hotel also has one of the best restaurants on the island.
