The Waterfront Lodge in Nuku'alofa, is a small eight room property built right on the ocean front, just across the road from the city's small marina area, Queen Salote Wharf, and just a 20 minute stroll into downtown Nuku'alofa, with its shops, markets, cafes and restaurants.
The rooms are all located on the first floor, with four Garden View rooms and four Ocean View rooms. All the rooms have a king bed, ensuite shower room with walk-in corner shower with multi jets, air-conditioning, IDD telephone, satellite TV (some rooms flat screen TV's) work desk and chair, internet access (fee) mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe and sliding patio doors to a private verandah with table and chairs, so you can sit and enjoy the view with your morning coffee.
The owners of the Lodge are Italian, whose first love is food. So to that end the entire ground floor of the building houses one of the city's better restaurants. Combining Pacific cuisine with Italian flair, the Waterfront Cafe offers breakfast, lunch (on request only) and evening dinner, and is a popular dining destination for visitors and locals alike.
The Waterfront is an ideal location for your one to three night stay in Nuku'alofa. If however, you are thinking of a longer stay in Tonga, we would suggest that a stay at one of the outer island resorts may be a preferable option.

There are regular regional international flight connections to and from Tonga, all international flights operate into Nuku'alofa on the main southern island of Tongatapu the nationals capitol, currently there are no international flights into the second Island grouping of Vava'u.
There is currently no Tongan national airline, so air connections to/from the Island are provided by other nations carriers. Virgin Australia operate regular service from Auckland and Sydney, with connections to many other Australian cities, but they do not currently operate any flights out side the southwest pacific region.
Fiji Airways, formerly Air Pacific operate five flights a week from/to Fiji, twice weekly service between Tonga and Nadi which provide connections to their Nadi to Los Angeles, and Nadi to Hong Kong services, plus there are three flights a week between Tonga and Suva.
The main airline providing same carrier service to the USA and Europe is Air New Zealand with direct service to/from Auckland provided five days a week (some seasonal variations apply) and there is a week non-stop flight to and from Los Angeles, currently departing Tonga on Tuesday nights going via Samoa, arriving in LA on Tuesday, the return flight leaves LA on a Tuesday and again going via Samoa arrives in Tonga on Thursday morning. Currently, this flight also provides the only air service between Samoa and Tonga.
At this time there is only one airline providing domestic flights within the Tonga islands, however the history of the domesitc flight operations in Tonga has been a little patchy over the years.....so we can up date you with the current situation when you call.
Pricing Policy
Prices are based on a per room, per night basis for single or twin occupancy including a complimentary international breakfast in the Waterfront Cafe.
Additional meal plan prices available on request.
