Situated on the stunningly beautiful island of Aitutaki, which is just a short 50 minute flight north of Rarotonga, lies the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort, the only private island paradise resort in the Cook Islands and the only Resort facing directly onto the stunning Aitutaki Lagoon.
The recently fully remodelled Aitutaki Lagoon Resort offers island style bungalows with either a garden or lagoon view, plus five deluxe oceanfront bungalows and seven overwater bungalows. Each bungalow has air-conditioning as well as a ceiling fan, private shower, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer and a private sun deck. They are very comfortable and have been designed, using many local and natural materials, with a warm, island feel.
There are two restaurants, the Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill, and the Bounty Restaurant, in which the resort offers daily complimentary continental breakfast. The beach bar is located on the lagoon and offers wonderful panoramic views, a great place to sip that well earned cocktail after a hard day in the sun! Private Sunset & Candlelit Dining can be arranged for that extra dash of romance!
Game fishing, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling and scuba diving are all available for the sports minded and for those who want to relax in the sun, why not laze around the pool or soothe away the pressures of the outside world on the resort's beautiful unspoiled private white sandy beach. For some pampering, there is the SpaPolynesia to tempt you, with massages and many treatment, all with a wonderful lagoon view. Delight in doing it all... or in doing nothing at all.
The Resort is a lovely place for weddings and honeymoons, and they have a number of stunningly beautiful locations in and around the Resort, to ensure your wedding will be perfect.
The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort is ideal for those people who want to leave the hustle and bustle behind, and just relax in paradise.
Please note: The Resort is undertaking 2 months of minor refubishments of the Garden and Beachfront Bungalows. This will involve redecoration and upgrading of some facilities, both inside the Bungalow, and out, that was not completed during the last refurbishment. Although this is not across the whole Resort, we feel this may have an impact on guests staying at the property. Please be aware of this if you wish to book this Resort for the months of January, February, and maybe even early March.

Currently, there are very limited International flight connections to and from the Cook islands. All international flights operate into Rarotonga, and there are no international flights into Aitutaki.
The main carrier is Air New Zealand, with
direct air service provided six days a week between
Rarotonga and Auckland (currently there is no flight on a
Friday), and once a week to and from Los Angeles, currently
departing Rarotonga on a Saturday arriving LA on the Sunday, the
return flight leaves LA on Sunday and arrives Rarotonga on Monday
morning.
Pacific Blue, part of the Virgin group, operate
limited service from Auckland
Air Tahiti operate twice weekly flights from
Papeete, Tahiti to Rarotonga, currently on a Saturday and Tuesday,
however on some weeks they only operate one flight!
All domestic flights within the Cook islands are
operate by Air Rarotonga. Their main route
is Rarotonga to Aitutaki, on which they operate up to five daily
services, except Sunday when only one is operated (up till the end
of 2009 no flights were permitted to operate domestically on a
Sunday!).
They also provide frequent services to the other main islands in
the Southern group. However, air access to the Northern group
is currently very restricted, to the point where it is almost
impossible for tourists to book flights, due to the limited seats
that are offered. Quite a lot of the time, the
seats are reserved for Government officials and the local residence
of the Northern islands.
Pricing Policy
Prices are based on a per room, per night basis for single or twin occupancy including Tropical breakfast.
The prices are based on a pre-booking/payment of 30 days or more prior to arrival. If booking within this period the price will be surcharged an extra 10%.

Overwater Bungalow
Located on the Lagoon, the Bungalows are entered straight off the beach. Although the front half of the bungalows are over the water, they are not built out far over the lagoon, not on a long walk way that can be found on other Pacific islands.
