The Italian villa-inspired Belagio, located in the heart of all 'The Strip' action, is the epitome of Las Vegas Luxury; fine quality, elegance, opulance and extravagance!

 

Opened in October 1998, the Bellagio had a massive $1.6billion price tag, providing the ultimate in luxurious surroundings and facilities, and confirming its place as one of the best hotels on The Strip.  In December 2004, the $375 million Spa Tower opened, adding a further 928 new rooms and suites, conference space, expanded Spa, Sensi Restaurant, Jean Phillippe Patisserie and a number of new retail outlets.

 

As you enter the Bellagio from the Strip, you are greeted by a tree-lined avenue beside an eight and a half acre lake, where the famous Dancing Fountains can be viewed.  Every night, an amazing water ballet is performed with more than 1200 dancing fountains and is choreographed to a wide range of music, from classical and operatic, to popular songs and show tunes.  The complimentary show runs every 15-30 minutes from lunchtime or early afternoon, right up to midnight every day!

 

Once you enter the Grand Lobby, the first thing you notice is the stunning chandelier sculpture, made with 2,000 hand-blown, multi-coloured glass flowers, by artisan Dale Chihuly.  The Front Desk is bordered by an indoor Courtyard Garden, full of trees, fragrant flowers and fountains, that change throughout the year to reflect the seasons.

 

Accommodation at the Bellagio is spacious and luxurious, with stunnings panoramic views of either the lake, The Strip, surrounding mountains or the city skyline.  They offer 3,421 Deluxe Rooms and 512 Suites on 36 floors located in 2 towers with 53 lifts, serving all floors.  Higher floors with exclusive Suite accommodations are only accessable in the lifts by keycard access.

 

Room catagories include Deluxe, Partial Lakeview, Lakeview and Tower Deluxe Rooms.  Each room is elegantly appointed with custom-made furnishings, fine art and luxurious amenities, such as Italian marble floors, plush robes, deep spa baths, as well as more standard conveniences, like high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, mulitple-line telephone with data port, mini bar, writing desk, 27" cable TV with FM radio, electronic in-room safe, illuminated dual-section wardrobe, air conditioning, mood lighting and individual reading lights, separate bath and shower, complimentary toiletries, 2 easy chairs and game table.  Rooms offer the choice of 1 King or 2 Queen beds, with pillow-top mattresses, except the larger Tower Deluxe Rooms which are King beds only.

 

The Bellagio recently redesigned their suites, in a $60m refurbishment and upgrade programme, which combines contemporary, stylish decor in tones of coffee and cream with deep red and amber accents, with the latest in high-tech gadgets and amenities.  Suites provide generously proportioned accommodation, King-size beds and offer 8 suite catagories - the Salone, Bellagio, Cypress, Tower, Penthouse, Grand Lakeview, the Presidential and the Chairman Suites.  Located in the Bellagio Tower and the Spa Tower, Suites offer a number of opulent conveniences, including his and hers marble bathrooms, with dressing area, deluxe spa toiletries, spa baths and steam showers, separate 'powder rooms', marble floors, iHome clock radios, DVD players, fax, flat screen high definition Cable 42" TVs, comfortable sofas and chairs and automated curtains and sheers.   All Suites, except the Salone Suites, provide a separate bedroom and living area, and some also offer wet bar areas with fridge, dining areas and conference room.  Some suites can be made into 2 or even 3 bedroom Suites with connecting Deluxe King or Queen rooms.

 

When you reserve any Suite, you have exclusive access to the Executive Suite Lounge, which offers an exclusive and private registration and Concierge service, complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening hors d'oeuvres, hot and cold beverages, complimentary business services such as Wi-Fi access, laptops to use, fax, printing and copying and airline boarding pass printing.  The dedicated Concierge will also arrange show, restaurant, Golf, nightclub VIP table or Spa/Salon reservations, arrange flower deliveries, suggest activites and attractions to visit and experience, and arrange a complimentary limo to and from the airport, for most Suites Reservations.

 

There is a superb array of dining choices, including 8 fine-dining restaurants, a vast Buffet and numerous casual eateries, offering gourmet and traditional cuisine in a variety of styles.

 

Fine-dining restaurants include Michael Mina, with an international seafood menu, Jasmine, offering classic Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan with fresh seafood twists, Le Cirque provides a classic French menu,  Picasso has a French/Mediterranean fusion cuisine and Prime Steakhouse, with the finest steak, lamb and seafood.  Popular casual dining is found at The Buffet, which offers an immense display of fresh dishes and live cooking stations, and Guests may choose from the best of Italian, Japanese, Chinese, seafood and American cuisines, offered daily.  Other more casual dining options include Sensi, for Italian, Asian, and seafood, FIX has contemporary American, Noodles offers Dim sum and traditional Asian cuisine, Olives for pastas, steaks, pizzas and rotisserie and Cafe Bellagio has turn-of-the-century dining rooms and terraces offering cafe favourites such as burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, grills and more.  For treats and light eats you an visit Café Gelato for ice cream, pastries and smoothies, Palio and Palio Pronto Coffee shop and pastries and the Pool Café and Snacks.

 

Bellagio has numerous bars and lounges, some with nightly entertainment and views of the dancing waters and gives plenty of choice if you want a quiet, or not-so-quiet drink!  There is also 'The Bank' Nightclub, which has a Grand Foyer decorated with floor-to-ceiling with bottles of Cristal Champagne, offers VIP booths, state-of-the-art sound systems, stunning lighting effects at floor and ceiling height and luxurious black, gold and glass decor. Definitely the place to see and be seen! Plenty of choice if you want a quiet, or not-so-quiet drink!

 

Obviously the big attraction in Vegas is the Casinos.  The gaming floor at the Bellagio is over 100,000sq ft and features Race & Sports book, 2 dedicated Poker Rooms, over 2000 slot machines and video games, Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Baccarat tables, and much, much more besides.
