The Hilton Auckland is located on the old Princes Wharf, in Auckland Harbour, which extends 300 meters out over the water, giving water and harbour views to most of the rooms.  The original wharf was built in the 1930's to serve the cargo ships arriving into port to unload their wares, and although it has been strengthened immensly, some of the original features, such as the rail tracks, are still in place.

The Hotel has 2 onsite Restaurants; White, which offers elegant surroundings and a traditional, simple menu using many local ingredients, and Bellini Bar, offering light snacks, tapas and traditional Martinis and cocktails.  Nearby, there are numerous dining options, to suit all budgets and tastes.

 

A fitness centre with weights and fitness machines and a heated swimming pool is available for guests use.

 

As a base, this hotel is perfect, as it so central to some of the main tourist areas in Auckland, but is also an ideal location to travel out and about and explore.
