The Namukulu is a self-catering property situated on Nuie's northwest coast.  The friendly owners, Robyn and Joe,  have put a lot of time and affection into the building and development of the resort, to give it a clean, modern feel but still with island charm.

 

They actually call the property a 'Motel' but given the size of the island and the lack of the ability to tour by car, we feel the use of the name is  little inaccurate; we think the term Resort is more fitting. 

 

They offer three fully self contained, beautifully appointed Fales (bungalows) that sleep up to four.  The Fales have a seperate bedroom with queen bed, a kitchen area, 2 additional single beds and a large lounge area.  They also include TV radio, refrigerator, microwave, ceiling fan, insect screens and private deck.

 

The property runs down the hill from the road, to the top of the cliff where the swimming pool has been located, just in front of the fales, and has a shade sail for sun protection whilst you swim!.  There is a path from the resort down the cliff to the reef where you can use the free snorkelling equipment to explore the reef and the cave that adjoins the resort. 

 

There is no restaurant on site, but they do have regular Barbeque evenings, where everyone is welcome.  Alternatively, the town of Alofi is just 10 minutes away, with several restaurant and bar options, including indian or fish and chips.  

 

The Namukulu resort is the perfect location for the clients that want to go 'native' but with a little creature comfort.
