Just 25 minutes by air from Honolulu lies Maui, the
Valley Isle, so called because it was formed out of two volcanic
islands that grew together forming a fertile valley between their
two mountain ranges.
A visit to Haleakala Crater is a must - especially at dawn as
the sun rises over the crater floor, an experience that will stay
with you forever. We believer that Maui is the
nicest of the islands and its' resort area of Lahaina and Kaanapali
Shores on the island's northwest corner, offers the perfect
location for your time under the Pacific sun, providing a truly
wonderful setting with the views of the adjoining islands of Lanai - the Pineapple Island and Molokai - the
Friendly Island. If you are looking for 'the place' in
paradise, then look no further, Maui has it
all!
Maui
has three main resort areas, they are all on the west coast, with
Wailea on the south western corner of the island, Kihei which is
just north of Wailea and the area known as West Maui which starts
at Lahaina and flows north to include Kaanapali, Kahana and
Kapulua. We feel that the areas offer three very different
experiences.
Wailea is a very quiet area and offers
accommodation mainly in four and five star resorts. Wailea is
ideal for those clients who are looking for luxurious and
sophisticated surroundings. All the resorts are totally
self-contained so you will have no reason to venture out, just
relax and spoil yourself while your other half goes off to improve
their handicap - the area has four championship grade golf
courses. We do not feature any of the Wailea hotels but we
can book any of them, so if Wailea is your choice, please call
us.
Kihei is an area of mainly moderate grade
accommodation offered in self-catering apartments. There are
very few hotels, due to the way in which the coastal road was
constructed back in the 30's. Because of the type of
accommodation on offer and their locations, we do not recommend
this area of the island to clients, as we think it's a long way to
go for something not very special.
West Maui, we believe that this area provides
the very best that Maui has to offer. With the charm of
Lahaina, the original royal capital of Hawaii, with its' historic
buildings, art galleries and many restaurants. In fact
Lahaina is home to some of the finest gourmet restaurants to be
found anywhere in America. Its' scenic beauty is unrivalled
with the spectacular views across the channel to the neighbouring
islands of Lanai and Molokai to the breathtaking mountain scenery
that forms the backdrop to the area, West Maui has it all.
With a full range of accommodation, from two star self-catering to
five star deluxe resorts. There is something to fit all
requirements and ages.
COME WHALE WATCHING IN MAUI!
The best location in the islands to see humpback whales
is in the channel between Maui, Molokiai and Lanai.
Annually, between late November and April the warm waters of the
Hawaiian islands are home for the North Pacific Humpback Whales,
who leave their Alaskan summer feeding grounds for the winter
warmth of the Mid Pacific ocean, to give birth and breed. The
sight of these magnificnent mammals in their natural surroundings
is one that you will never forget.
