The Inn at Volcano is a boutique property set in a landscaped rainforest gardens, with large koi pond and bridge, and located in Volcano Village, at the entrance to Volcano National Park. 

 

The property has 3 individually themed rooms, 2 suites and a detached bungalow. The smallest room is the Africa Room, which is decorated with African artifacts and art.  Located on the 2nd floor, it has a Queen bed, ensuite bathroom, flat-screen TV and a shared rainforest-view lanai.  The corner Garden Room offers a private outside entrance, a Queen bed, flat-screen TV, ensuite marbled bathroom with separate travertine tile double shower, mini-kitchenette with microwave, fridge, toaster and sink, small reading alcove and private garden lanai.  The Jade Room is decorated with Oriental art and memorabilia and has a King bed, flat -screen TV, ensuite jade marbled bathroom with jacuzzi bath, a private rainforest lanai with views of the forest and koi pond and access to the shared lanai. The Continental Suite offers a King bed, TV, small sitting area, tiled ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath, and access to the slate-tiled shared lanai.   The Treehouse Suite is a 2 floor apartment with small kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge and sink, sitting area with fireplace, marble tiled bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower, all on the ground floor.  The upper floor, access by a spiral staircase, leads to the bedroom with a King bed, chaise longue, flat-screen TV and private rainforest deck. The Hapu'u Forest Bungalow is a private, raised bungalow located in the gardens, surrounded by the rainforest and just a short walk from the main building.  It offers a large private slate-tiled lanai with lots of seating, a cosy living room with fireplace, flat screen TV, mini-kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge and sink, separate bedroom with King bed, and ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate lava-walled shower, with large windows allowing views of the ferns and flowers of the surrounding forest.

 

There is a large shared lanai that some of the rooms have direct accress on to, but is open to all guests.  Other than outdoor seating, there is an open air covered kitchenette, with microwave, toaster, fridge, coffee machine and sink, available for all guests to use.  There is a comfortable guest lounge, the Ohana (Family) Room, where a computer and wireless internet access is available and every day, complimentary 'Afternoon Tea by the Fireside' is served.

 

The landscaped gardens have been planted with many rainforest plants, so the real forest just blends into the edges.  There is a large koi fish pond, ornamental bridge and winding paths.  There is also a gazebo covered hot tub to soak at the end of the day. 

 

Continental breakfast is served in the Ohana Room every morning, serving fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, breads, cereals, Kona coffee and fruit juice, and there are a number of restaurants for lunch or dinner in Volcano Village.  Flyers and menus for most of them can be found in the Ohana Room, for you to browse before you decide!

 

This is a very individual property and is a good base for a few days to visit the Volcano National Park.
