Situated on the 9 mile stretch of Kohala Coast approximately 17 miles from Kona International Airport, The Hilton Waikoloa Village is set in over 62 acres of grounds and has 1240 guest rooms and suites in the 3 low rise towers. Transport around this very large Resort is either by mahogany launch on the canals, air conditioned trams or flagstone walkways, flanked by Polynesian and Oriental artwork.
The Resort is located on a horseshoe-shaped headland around a natural inlet, that links to a 4 acre ocean-fed lagoon, with beaches and waterfalls. There is also a large Dolphin Pool, several swimming pools, grottos and hottubs, and a interconnecting canal that connects all 3 Towers with the rest of the Resort.
The 3 Accommodation Towers are the Lagoon Tower, Palace Tower and the Ocean Tower, and each Tower complex is virtually self contained, with restaurants, facilities and pools. Room catagories are a standard Resort Room, Partial Ocean View, Deluxe Ocean View, Lagoon Tower Cabana and Dolphin View Rooms, and 1 Bedroom Suites.
Water activities are a big feature of the resort, with 3 separate pools, cave grottos and jacuzzi hottubs. The Kona pool covers three quarters of an acre with waterfalls, 175 ft waterslide and 3 jacuzzis, The Kohala pool is in fact 4 pools connected by waterslides and a lazy river and The Ocean Tower pool is available to adults only, (age 16 or over). The Kona and Kohal Pools have their own pool bars offering cool drinks, poolside menus and sunshine snacks. As well as the pools, there is also the large salt-water lagoon and the main beachfront. There is also a huge number of water activites for you to enjoy, such as many different boat tours, scuba diving, snorkeling, whale-watching, glass bottom boat tour to see the turtles, kayaks, paddle-and surfboarding, and the ultimate water activity, the on-site Dolphin encounter, where you and learn, swim and interact with playful bottlenose dolphins..
To entertain you during your time at the Hilton Waikaloa Village there is the 'Legends of the Pacific Luau' with show and buffet dinner, live entertainment, Hawaiian arts and craft classes, a large 1,800 piece art collection and golfers of all levels can enjoy Waikoloa's two championship courses. Also available to guests for a fee is the Kohala Spa and Fitness Centre, 8 tennis courts, a putting green and a large number of island tours and attractions.
Each of the hotel's six restaurants offer distinctively different cuisines encompassing Italian, Japanese, Pacific Rim, Southern Californian, steak and seafood, as well as an unusual cereal bar, and vast breakfast and dinner buffets. The Legends of the Pacific Luau offers a Polynesian show followed by an expansive buffet, and is an experience not to miss. There are also a number of bars around the Resort to enjoy a beer at the pool or a cocktail at sunset!
If you want to shop or eat elsewhere, there is a shuttle to nearby tourist areas for $1 per person, so you don't even need a car, unless you want to travel and visit further afield.
The Hilton Waikaloa Village is a large Resort with plenty of space, so you won't feel crowded, and although it is large, and the Resort transport can be 'sedate', you're on vacation, so don't rush! Just relax and enjoy the view as it glides by.

Currently, there are no non-stop flights from the UK to the Hawaiian Islands, mainly due to the distance from the UK. The most convenient way of getting there is via a connection at an American or Canadian city, and the following is a list of the Airlines that offer through service to the islands and the routes they operate.
Air Canada: Offer daily connecting flights to Honolulu from Heathrow via Toronto or Vancouver
United Airlines: Offer through services with same day connections from Heathrow via Los Angeles and San Francisco to Honolulu (Oahu), Maui, Kauai and Kona (Hawaii Big island). They also offer non-stop flights from Chicago and Denver to Honolulu
American Airlines: Offer through services with same day connections from Heathrow via Los Angeles to Maui, Kauai and Kona (Hawaii Big island). They also offer non-stop flights from Dallas to Honolulu and Maui
Alaska Airlines: Offer flights from Seattle and Portland to Honolulu, Maui, Hawaii Big Island and Kauai, which can be used in conjunction with other airlines from the UK
Continental: Offer through services with same day connections from Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester via Newark, New York, to Honolulu. They also have non-stop flights from Houston to Honolulu
Delta Airlines: Currently, no Delta flights from the UK make a same day connection to their Hawaiian flights, so an overnight stay will be required. They offer non-stop flights to Honolulu (Oahu) from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit and Salt Lake City, and to Maui from Los Angeles and Salt Lake City
US Airways: Currently, no US Airways flights from the UK make a same day connection to their flights to the Hawaiian islands, so an overnight stay will be required. They operate non-stop flights from Phoenix to Maui , Honolulu, (Oahu), Kauai and Hawaii Big Island
.
Hawaiian Airlines: They
provide a large range of flights from cities in the American West
to Honolulu and Maui. Their flights from Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, San
Diego, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix can be used in
connection with other carriers flights from the UK. They
also provide a weekly service between Honolulu and Tahiti,
currently operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
Korean Air: Offer a
very competitive price for flights to Honolulu from Heathrow via
Seoul in South Korea, but it is the long way around.
Domestic Flights around the
Islands
There are currently four domestic airlines operating in Hawaii; Aloha Air, Hawaiian Airlines, Go and Kahalau. They operate an extensive domestic flight network covering all the islands, with frequent and regular departures operating between 6am and 9 pm
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for
private charters throughout Hawaii, so arranging charters
between the main and/or outer islands is very easy. At this
time, there are no seaplanes available for chartering in the
Hawaiian chain, which is a little disappointing for flying boat
fans!

Prices are based on a per room, per night room only basis for single or twin occupancy.
