The elegant and recently updated (2016) Four Seasons Resort Lanai overlooks the white sand beach of secluded Hulopo'e Bay and the nearby island of Kaho'olawe. Creatively landscaped gardens with waterfalls, ponds and streams, lush tropical shrubs and flowers surround this award winning hotel.

 

The hotel's 250 luxury Guest Rooms and Suites are located in two storey buildings reflecting a mix of traditional Hawaiian and modern architecture.  As part of their recent renovations, the Guest Rooms and Suites have been fully refurbished and are now modern and contemporary,but with a slight retro feel, in calm natural earth tones, with Hawaiian art and decoration.  They have also created a new selection of small Suites, ranging from the Garden View Suite with mountain and garden views, up to the Prime Ocean Front Suite, with uninterrupted sea views.  All the rooms have hardwood floors, modern wood furniture, tiled, marble bathrooms and state of the art technology.

 

The 194 spacious Guest Rooms offer 1 King or 2 double beds with pillowtop mattress and down duvets, contemporary ensuite bathroom with bath with handheld shower attachment and separate shower cubicle, double vanity, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and bathrobes, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities with Nespresso station, work desk and chair, complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room safe, telephone, 75" LED with Premium and cable channels, and sliding doors to your private balcony or terrace furnished with rustic wicker table and chairs.  The Garden View and Partial Ocean View Guest rooms have views of the landscaped gardens, or gardens with a partial sea views.  The Ocean View, Oceanfront and Prime Oceanfront rooms are on the front of the buildings with uninterrupted views of the rugged cliffs, the pool, beach and ocean.

 

The 40 small Four Seasons and large Ohana Suites offers similar amenities to the Guest Rooms, just upgraded in standard, and are more spacious with a separate bedroom with 1 King bed, a separate living room, luxury ensuite marble bathroom and a large double length balcony with sofa, table with chairs and 2 sun loungers, overlooking the mountains behind the resort, the gardens, the pool terrace or the ocean. Large Ohana suites have a 2nd bathroom and are more spacious.

 

There are also 6 individual 1- and 2-bedroom specialty suites which offer the ultimate in luxurious accommodation and facilities, from the 1-bed Palawai Suite. with separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room 2 bathrooms and triple length balcony, up to the vast 2-bed Alii Royal Suite.

 

Dining at the resort has a number of choices.  At Malibu Farm Restaurant, the main dining room has lovely views over the pool and Hulupo'e Bay and the imaginative menu offers Hawaiian cuisine with Asian influences, featuring fresh fish and local produce from their own harvest garden.    Nobu Lanai offers a contemporary Japanese menu with sweeping ocean views.  One Forty is an upmarket steak and seafood restaurant that also serves a varied breakfast menu.  The Views Restaurant at the Manele Clubhouse serves casual lunches, pupus (appetizer-style bites) and afternoon refreshments with a full bar, overlooking the golf course fairways and the ocean. The Sports Bar is on the 2nd floor with stunning views from the covered terrace, and offers a casual bar menu of burgers, salads and sandwiches to enjoy whilst you play a game of pool or catch the big match on the huge TV.  Kope serves fresh coffee, juices and grab-and-go offerings, whilct the Lobby Bar and Nobu Bar offers a vast a varied selection of popular and premium drinks.

 

If you want to get out and about and dine outside the Resort, there are other shops, bars and restaurants in the nearby towns and villages,

 

A host of activities are available to guests and include a 2 swimming pools with two jacuzzi's, water sports, horseriding, sporting days, kayaking, hiking and jeep adventures.  A tennis centre is to be found in the hotel grounds as is a well renown Spa and Fitness facility, and just along the coast is the Hulopo'E Beach Park, with rugged red rocks and sandy beach.  Enthusiasts will find golfing on Lanai both stimulating and challenging at all levels.  Adjacent to the hotel is Golf magazine's gold medal award winning 'Challenge at Manele' golf course.  Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this 18 hole championship course offers five seperate tees and dramatic 'over the Pacific' holes.  A futher eighteen holes of championship golf are also available to hotel guests at the Greg Norman designed mountain course 'The Experience at Ko'ele'.

 

Children can spend the day at the Kids Club, and older teens have their own space, at the Surf Shack Teen Center, with Playstation, XBox and Wii games consoles, and lounge area with comfy sofas and TV's.

 

The Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay is in great location right on the seafront, and is definitely worth considering if you want to splash out for a special occasion.
