The hotel is located on Bora Bora's main island in the area of Matira Point on the south western corner, just a 10 minute drive from the boat dock.
The hotel has been developed either side of the island's coastal road, with its architecture being very Polynesian in design with extensive use of wood and local materials. The grounds have been tastefully landscaped to ensure that the buildings blend into the island's natural foliage. There are four choices of accommodation: air conditioned hotel style rooms, villa suites, beach bungalows and overwater bungalows. All come well appointed with private bathrooms.
The hotel's Haere Mai restaurant serves local dishes as well as European cuisine and the bar serves up some great tropical cocktails. The Le Maitai is not a resort hotel and is not a location that we would suggest for long stays, but if you only want a short stay on Bora Bora and you are looking for real value for money accommodation then the Le Maitai is the place for you.
Children of all ages are catered for. Children 16 years old and under stay FREE when they share the room with accompanying adults and use the existing beds 50% discount on all meals.
Round trip transfers are available at £29
You can reach Bora Bora by 45 minutes flight from Tahiti. Moly Mule airport located in the North, a 20 minute boat shuttle will take you to the main island then a 15 minute minibus journey to Le Maitai Resort.

Although there are frequent international flights into Tahiti,
French Polynesia's international gateway to the World, there are
limited airports of embarkation to choose from, with currently only
Paris, Los Angeles, Auckland and Tokyo offering one plane air
service to Tahiti.
The international airline for French Polynesia. is Air Tahiti Nui who operate daily flights from Paris and Los Angeles to Tahiti and on many days there are additional fights to/from Los Angeles. In addition they operate two weekly flights to/from Auckland and they serve Tokyo twice a week. Their services to New York and Sydney have been suspended.
Air France currently offered service from Paris, three times a week via Los Angeles
Air New Zealand operates twice a week from/to Auckland with it's own aircraft, it also operates a codeshare arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui providing seats on their two weekly fights from Tahiti to Auckland.
Air Cali, operate a weekly flight between Noumea and Tahiti.
Hawaiian Airlines, provide a weekly service between Honolulu and Tahiti, currently operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
LANChile, operate a flight once a week from Santiago to Tahiti via Easter Island, providing the availability to do a great side trip from Tahiti to Easter island.
Air Tahiti, is French Polynesia's domestic airline operates an extensive domestic flight network covering all the countries main islands, with at least a daily service. With the main Society islands receiving a number of flights a day, since Air Moorea stopped operations between Tahiti and Moorea the flight connections have become limited, most connectionsw betwen the two are now done by ferry boat.
The less populated islands get a restricted service, so sometimes a night stop in Tahiti may be required when connecting between these islands.
Air Tahiti is providing the only air service between Tahiti and the Cook islands, which they currently do once a week on a Thursday, an extra high season flight is operated between June and August
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for private charters, but they all tend to be based in Tahiti so arranging charters between the outer islands can be expensive as the aircraft will originate and terminate in Tahiti, starting in spring 2013, there will be a new seaplane operation availabe, the aircraft will be based in Tahiti and will be available for sightseeing tours from Papeete, as well as private transfers to the outer islands
Prices are based on a per room, per night basis for single or twin occupancy.
