The Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa is an all suite hotel which offers a standard of accommodation, furnishing and style that is normally associated with the luxury hotels to be found in the Far East and North America. The resort has been designed to appeal very much to the traveller who is looking to visit French Polynesia to experience the culture and the islands natural beauty but require the comfort of a traditional five star hotel, as well as the five star experience.
The resort is built on the ocean side of the Toopua motu, one of Bora Bora's outer islands on a 600 metre long white sand beach. There are five categories of suites to choose from: 84 Overwater Villas, 9 Beach Villas, 16 Lagoon View Suites and 10 Hillside Lagoon View Villas, and 2 brand new Presidential Villas.
The Lagoon View Suites are beautifully appointed with exotic Polynesian and Asian mahogany furniture, with light and airy decor, to give a modern Pacific feel. They feature air-conditioning, ceiling fans, separate living area with sofa and dining furniture, CD/DVD players, satelite TV, 2 IDD telephones, coffee/tea making facilities, mini fridge, internet access, and large Italian marble bathrooms with separate toilet, shower and whirlpool jacuzzi bath. They are located in a low 2-storey beachfront building, with private balcony, divided bedroom and living room with sofa bed, and ensuite bathroom. They are available with a King bed or 2 Twin beds, and can have connecting rooms for families or groups. .
The detached Villas are located around the gardens and overwater into the lagoon. The catagories are Garden Beachside Villa, Hillside Villa, Overwater Villa, Deluxe Overwater and Royal Overwater Villa. They have all the same facilities as the Suites but also offer separate bedrooms with either 4-poster canopy King bed or 2 Twin beds, and with the Royal Villas, more luxurious furnishing and large accommodations. Each overwater bungalow comes equipped with snorkels and masks, and glass floors to view the sealife without getting wet!
The Presidential Villas are the ultimate in privacy and luxury. Located at the end of the overwater walkway, the 2 level Overwater Villas (the only ones in the Society Islands!) offer private check-in, complimentary champagne and fresh fruit on arrival, 2 separate bedroom wings, with 4-poster Canopy King beds, glass floors , their own dressing rooms, ensuite bathrooms with lagoon views from your bath, and your own private sun deck. There is a spacious living room in the centre section that opens to another 2 level sun deck with your own private plunge pool, a separate 'well-being' room for private massage treatments, (a 40-min massge is complimentary), and a further top floor sun deck, gazebo and jacuzzi.
The resort offers two restaurants and three bars, to cater for all your dining requirements as well as 24 hour room service. The Iriatai Restaurant is located on the hillside with a diverse Pacific-Rim and Mediteranean menu and amazing views over the lagoon. The beachside Tamure Beach Fare Grill offers fresh local favourites and lighter meals with sand between your toes and Polynesian live entertainment twice a week.
For the active there is a fitness centre, a large infinity swimming pool, and all the normal watersport activities (powered activities with local charge).
If you really want to pamper yourself then you have come to the right resort, as the hotel's Spa is the best to be found on Bora Bora. From the position of its three individual treatment bungalows which are located on top of the central ridge of the island, the Spa provides stunning views over the resort and the ocean, to enjoy whilst you take advantage of the full range of therapies that are available.
So if you want to stay in Paradise and live like being in the Ritz, then Bora Bora Nui is the place for you.
At some time during 2011, the resort is planning to undergo a $5m renovation. There is no major construction work being carried out, except the building of a new Kids Club House. All of the main work is in existing buildings, and will be a complete redecoration and re-furnishing of all bungalows, public areas, restaurants & bars, and the fitness and Spa areas, in phased stages. Although the Resort will limit the impact of these works on their guests, we will contact the Resort before booking any client here for this time, to check on what work, if any, will be being carried out for dates you may wish to book.

Although there are frequent international flights into Tahiti,
French Polynesia's international gateway to the World, there are
limited airports of embarkation to choose from, with currently only
Paris, Los Angeles, Auckland and Tokyo offering one plane air
service to Tahiti.
The international airline for French Polynesia. is Air
Tahiti Nui who operate daily flights from Paris and Los
Angeles to Tahiti and on many days there are additional fights
to/from Los Angeles. In addition they operate two weekly flights
to/from Auckland and they serve Tokyo twice a week. Their service
to New York has been temporarily suspended.
Air France has in the past offered service from
Paris, but currently is not offering it's own flights on the route
it code shares on the Air Tahiti Nui services.
Air New Zealand operates twice a week from/to
Auckland with it's own aircraft, it also operates a codeshare
arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui providing seats on their two
weekly fights from Tahiti to Auckland.
Air Cali, operate a weekly flight between Noumea
and Tahiti.
Hawaiian Airlines, provide a weekly service
between Honolulu and Tahiti, currently operating on a
Saturday/Sunday schedule.
LANChile, operate a flight twice a week from
Santiago to Tahiti via Easter Island, providing the availability to
do a great side trip from Tahiti to Easter island.
Air Tahiti, is French Polynesia's domestic
airline operates an extensive domestic flight network covering all
the countries main islands, with at least a daily service. With the
main Society islands receiving a number of flights a day, and
between Tahiti and Moorea there are departures hourly between 6am
and 6.45pm Monday to Thursday with later evening flights over the
weekends.
The less populated islands get a restricted service, so sometimes a
night stop in Tahiti may be required when connecting between these
islands.
Air Tahiti is providing the only air service
between Tahiti and the Cook islands, which they currently do twice
a week on a Tuesday and Saturday.
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for
private charters, but they all tend to be based in Tahiti so
arranging charters between the outer islands can be expensive as
the aircraft will originate and terminate in Tahiti, also at this
time there are no seaplanes operating in French Polynesia, which is
a little disappointing!
