The Four Seasons Resort, Bora Bora, is a beautiful, luxury resort that will cater to your every South Seas dream - white sand beaches, palm trees, tropical flowers and the most gorgeous turquoise, calm, warm lagoon, and all with impeccable service and ultimate luxury that Four Seasons are famous for.
Located on a private motu, or island, in the string of coral islets surrounding the Bora Bora lagoon and the main island, the Four Seasons Resort, Bora Bora is very new, having only opened in September 2008.
The Resort has 121 Bungalows and villas, with 100 bungalows being the popular overwater bungalows, with amazing views of the lagoon and Mounts Otemanu and Pahia, just across the other side of the turquoise lagoon, and seven 2- or 3-bedroomed beachfront villas. All the bungalows and villas are inspired by local architecture, and are designed using traditional teak wood, panadanus leaf thatched roofs and Polynesian artworks. They all offer en suite bathrooms with complimentary L'Occitane toiletries, thick bathrobes and hairdryer, King or Queen size beds, sofa bed, in-room safe, tea & coffee making facilities, refrigerated bar with bottled water, telephone, Satelite TV, CD & DVD player, Internet access and wide opening doors to a private sundeck.
The 1-bedroom Overwater Bungalows are accessed via 2 branching pontoons with a separate walkway to each bungalow, and have views towards the beach, the resort, out over the lagoon or across to Mount Otemanu. The spacious living room has seating for four, including a queen sofabed, a well-defined work area, a multi-line telephone with voice mail, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a plasma screen television, a built-in safe and a fully stocked private bar. The private deck extends the length of the bungalow, and is accessed from the bedroom and the living room. There is a ladder for access into the lagoon and also a dining table with two chairs. Four large glass panels, including one in the floor looking down into the lagoon below, flood the bathroom with light by day and invite the moonlight to reflect the waves of the ocean by night. The bathroom, which opens onto a wooden deck, also features a double vanity, an oversized tub and a separate shower. Some of the Overwater Bungalows also have private plunge pools on the deck.
The Otemanu Luxury Overwater Bungalow is located on the very end of the pontoon, with stunning views of the lagoon and the mountains. The spacious, luxury bungalow has 456 sqft of extra space, including a large bedroom with private ensuite bathroom, expansive living and dining room with additional guest bathroom, and a private sundeck that extends the entire length of the Bungalow, and has a plunge pool, covered seating area, a covered dining area, sunbathing area with 2 chaise longues and ladder for private access into the lagoon.
The 2- & 3-bedroomed Beachfront Villas are located in a quiet area to one side of the main Resort, with its own enclosed tropical garden, a lawn leading to the secluded white sand beach and the lagoon beyond, and have their own private pool. The 2-bedroom villas feature a large entrance foyer, a living room with seating for six, including a queen sofabed, an adjacent dining room for up to six guests, a small pantry, a well-defined work area featuring a multi-line telephone with voice mail, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, a plasma screen television, a built-in safe and a fully stocked private bar. The master bedroom offers a king bed, a plasma screen television, an ensuite bathroom with lovely garden views, a full bathroom including a double vanity, an oversized tub and a separate shower, and a large private deck, with its own whirlpool nestling in the garden. The second bedroom has two queen beds, a plasma screen television and garden views from its bathroom. Another guest bathroom with shower is located off the living area.
The Otemanu 3-Bed Luxury Beachfront Villa offers spacious accommodation, including 2,152 sq ft of outside space, including sundeck, covered lanais, pool and dining areas. The master bedroom and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are on separate sides of the Villa, with the living areas inbetween. Each bedroom has its own private deck with lounge furniture, with the Master bedroom having an additional whirlpool jacuzzi.

Although there are frequent international flights into Tahiti,
French Polynesia's international gateway to the World, there are
limited airports of embarkation to choose from, with currently only
Paris, Los Angeles, Auckland and Tokyo offering one plane air
service to Tahiti.
The international airline for French Polynesia. is Air
Tahiti Nui who operate daily flights from Paris and Los
Angeles to Tahiti and on many days there are additional fights
to/from Los Angeles. In addition they operate two weekly flights
to/from Auckland and they serve Tokyo twice a week. Their service
to New York has been temporarily suspended.
Air France has in the past offered service from
Paris, but currently is not offering it's own flights on the route
it code shares on the Air Tahiti Nui services.
Air New Zealand operates twice a week from/to
Auckland with it's own aircraft, it also operates a codeshare
arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui providing seats on their two
weekly fights from Tahiti to Auckland.
Air Cali, operate a weekly flight between Noumea
and Tahiti.
Hawaiian Airlines, provide a weekly service
between Honolulu and Tahiti, currently operating on a
Saturday/Sunday schedule.
LANChile, operate a flight twice a week from
Santiago to Tahiti via Easter Island, providing the availability to
do a great side trip from Tahiti to Easter island.
Air Tahiti, is French Polynesia's domestic
airline operates an extensive domestic flight network covering all
the countries main islands, with at least a daily service. With the
main Society islands receiving a number of flights a day, and
between Tahiti and Moorea there are departures hourly between 6am
and 6.45pm Monday to Thursday with later evening flights over the
weekends.
The less populated islands get a restricted service, so sometimes a
night stop in Tahiti may be required when connecting between these
islands.
Air Tahiti is providing the only air service
between Tahiti and the Cook islands, which they currently do twice
a week on a Tuesday and Saturday.
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for
private charters, but they all tend to be based in Tahiti so
arranging charters between the outer islands can be expensive as
the aircraft will originate and terminate in Tahiti, also at this
time there are no seaplanes operating in French Polynesia, which is
a little disappointing!
