The Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort is settled on the edge of a magnificent lagoon with views over the island of Tahiti. The Resort is spread out on a long stretch of sandy beach, infront of a shallow turquoise lagoon, with a tropical jungle-clad mountain rising majestically up behind
The 114 modern, well-appointed bungalows and villas are arranged in the landscaped gardens, right on the beach edge and on the overwater jetties out into the lagoon. They offer 1 King bed with mosquito net, ensuite bathroom with separate shower and toilet, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV with cable/satelite channels, clock/radio, IDD telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-bar/fridge, ice maker, complimentary bottled water, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, sitting area, sofabed (some rooms) and a private deck or terrace with chairs. All the bungalows offer the same amenities, but are differentiated by their location. Garden Bungalows are set amongst the tropical, landscaped gardens, Lagoon View Bungalows are still in the garden but very near to the beach, with views between the Beach Bungalows and through the trees to the beach and the lagoon beyond, the Beach Bungalows are right on the beach edge, and the Luxury and Superior Overwater Bungalows are located on the 2 jetties that spread out into the turquoise lagoon, with direct water access from the private deck, and glass panels in the floor. The spacious 2-bedroomed villas are more than 4 times the size of the bungalows, and offers mostly the same amenities as the bungalows, just upgraded in quality. They have 2 separate bedrooms, with 1 King and 2 twin beds, large living room with sofa, table and chairs, kitchenette area with wine cellar and Nespresso coffee machine
The Sofitel Ia Ora has 2 renowned restaurants on site and a well-stocked bar. Pure offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, inside or alfresco on the edge of the beach, with a bar and a varied international-style menu. K is only open for dinner, and offers a more intimate, romantic dining room, with a soft white sand floor, and serves an eclectic, gourmet menu, with gorgeous lagoon views. The Vue Bar offers a wide selection of popular beers, wines, spirits and cocktails with a spacious open air deck with great lagoon views. Vue also serves a selection of snacks and has an ice cream counter, ideal for a hot afternoon's treat. Room service is also available between 6.00am and 10.00pm, and if you wish to eat elsewhere, there are more restaurants and bars available in the nearby towns and villages.
To fill your days at the Sofitel Ia Ora, there are many activites and things to do. The hotel is situated on a stretch of private beach, and just a short walk along the coast is the large public beach at Temea. It is easy to walk into the warm water of the lagoon, where you can swim, snorkel over the coral gardens and scuba dive in the deeper water over the shelf. The hotel has a beachside infinity pool, if you don't want salt water, with a spacious sundeck with loungers and umbrellas. They have a glass-bottomed boat and operate boat excursions most days. They also have kayaks, pedal boats and bicycles for hire, or you can enjoy a quiet game of petanque boules, not-so-quiet volleyball or table tennis on the beach. Nearby, there are many tours and excursions you can book, such as deep sea fishing, horseriding, golf and jet skiingand the hotel will help you book these.
On site there is also a contemporary wellbeing spa, offering a range of body and beauty treatments, and can offer massages and treatments in the spa overlooking the pool and the lagoon, on the beach or in the privacy of your bungalow.
The Sofitel Ia Ora Beach Resort offers a selection of facilities available to guests, such as 24 hr reception, porter, well-equipped business centre, laundry service, library, complimentary car parking, currency exchange, luggage storage and a small gift shop.
They also offer a comprehensive wedding service which includes their own wedding chapel, which is available for weddings or vow renewal services, and is decorated with tropical flowers and petals.
The Sofitel Ia Ora is a good value premium property situated in a great location, looking across the lagoon and deep water channel towards Tahiti Island.

Child Policy
Children of all ages are catered for. 1 child under 12 years old stay FREE when they share the room with accompanying adults and use the existing beds. Children under 12 years are not accepted in the Overwater Bungalows.
Children aged 3-11 years are entitled to a 50% discount off food. Children under 3 eat for free.

Although there are frequent
international flights into Tahiti, French Polynesia's international
gateway to the World, there are limited airports of embarkation to
choose from, with currently only Paris, Los Angeles, Auckland and
Tokyo offering single plane air service to Tahiti.
The international airline for French Polynesia. is Air Tahiti
Nui, who operate daily flights from Paris and Los
Angeles to Tahiti, and on some days there are additional fights
to/from Los Angeles. In addition, they operate two weekly flights
to/from Auckland and they serve Tokyo twice a week. Their services
to New York and Sydney have been suspended, at this
time.
Air France
currently offer a service from Paris, three times a week via Los
Angeles
Air New Zealand
operates daily flights via LA to Papeete, and 5 days a week from/to
Auckland with it's own aircraft. It also operates a codeshare
arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui providing seats on their fights
from Tahiti to Auckland and Los Angeles.
United Airlines operate 3 times
a week from San Francisco to Papeete, on Tuesday, Thursday and
Sunday, which will connect to their daily flight from
Heathrow.
Air Calin
operate a weekly flight between Noumea, in New Caledonia, and
Tahiti.
Hawaiian
Airlines provide a weekly service between Honolulu and
Tahiti, currently operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
LANChile
operate a flight once a week from Santiago to Tahiti via
Easter Island, providing the availability to do a great side trip
from Tahiti to Easter island.
Air Tahiti is
French Polynesia's domestic airline, which operates an extensive
domestic flight network covering all the country's main islands,
with at least a daily service. With the main Society islands
receiving a number of flights a day, since Air Moorea stopped
operations between Tahiti and Moorea, the flight connections now to
Moorea have become limited, most connections between the two are
now done by ferry boat.
The less populated and outer islands have a restricted service, so
sometimes a night stop in Tahiti may be required when connecting to
these islands.
Air Tahiti
provide the only air service between Tahiti and the Cook islands,
which they currently do once a week on a Thursday, an extra high
season flight is operated between June and August
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for private charters, but they all tend to be based in Tahiti so arranging charters between the outer islands can be expensive as the aircraft will originate and terminate in Tahiti. Tahiti Nui Helicopters are one such company that operate resort transfers (where helipad available), inter-island flights and sightseeing trips. Contact us for further info.

Pricing Policy
Prices are based on a per room, per night basis for single or twin occupancy, room only basis. Additional meal plan prices available on request.
There is a daily Communal Tax in Moorea, which is paid directly to the hotel upon the guests' departure. This is currently 200 XPF (Pacific Francs - roughly EUR1.70/£1.60) which is per person, per day.
