The St Regis Resort, Bora Bora, the filming location for the 2009 movie 'Couples Retreat', is a luxury Resort located on the stunning Bora Bora Lagoon.

 

The St. Regis offers a variety of 1- and 2-Bedroom Overwater, Garden and Beach Villas, set on both the ocean and lagoon sides of the pretty motu.

 

The 1-Bedroom Garden and Beach Villas have 3 categories to choose from: Beach Pool Villas, on the lagoon side of the Resort, and the slightly larger Garden Pool Villas and 2 two-bedroom Royal Beach Pool Villas, on the open ocean side, with views of the coral reef and the nearby islands of Raiatea and Taha'a. All the villas are decorated to a very high standard with a mix of Polynesian and Indonesian style using exotic wood, natural materials and luxurious marble.  As you would expect, the Villas provide all the facilities associated with a five star resort, with a separate bedroom with a King bed and 42" TV, a luxurious ensuite bathroom with Italian marble, a dressing area, double vanity, sunken bathtub, separate rainshower and complimentary toiletries, a separate furnished living room with a 42 inch flat screen TV, Bose DVD/CD player, Internet connection, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities with espresso coffee machine and a well stocked mini bar fridge.  There are double sliding doors from both the bedroom and living room onto your private sundeck, with a private garden area, a shady thatched gazebo with dining table and chairs, a personal plunge pool and just a few short steps to the white sandy beach.  The Pool Beach Villas face into the lagoon, with views or Mt Otemanu over the Overwater Villas.

 

The 1-bed Oceanfront Retreat Pool Villas face towards the open ocean,  and offers 2,702 square feet of living space, with a separate bedroom with King bed, ensuite bathroom with access to a private courtyard garden with outdoor shower, separate living area with double sliding doors to your sun deck with your very own private plunge pool, thatched dining gazebo and a few steps to the beach on the ocean and reef side of the resort, with views across to the neighbouring islands of Raiatea and Taha'a.

 

The spacious 2-bedroom Royal Oceanfront Pool Villa looks towards the open ocean, surrounded by tropical gardens and leading straight onto the beach.  It offers mostly the same amenities as the Beach Villas, but additionally offers 3,455 sqft/321m of space, with 2 separate bedrooms with king beds, luxurious ensuite bathrooms with individual courtyard gardens with outdoor shower and sun loungers, a central living room, with enclosed courtyard garden at the entrance, that opens out onto the furnished sundeck on the beach side, with private infinity pool, 2 thatched  dining gazebos and stunning views of the ocean and the neighbouring islands of Raiatea and Taha'a.

 

The Overwater Villa pontoon are built out into the lagoon and surround 2 small islands before reaching more open water.  The 1-bedroom Overwater Villas similarly offer 4 categories; the Classic, Superior, Deluxe and Premier villas.  They offer the same amenities as the Beach Villas, and mostly only differ by location on the pontoon.  The Classic Overwater Villas are the closest to the beach, the Superior are further along with better views of the lagoon, the Deluxe which are directly overlooking the lagoon, and the Premier which also look over the lagoon but are slightly larger, and have an outdoor whirlpool, a shaded daybed and a larger living/family room with a daybed nook. All the Overwater Villas have similar amenities to the Beach Villas but also have glass floor panels to see the marine life below, a private furnished sundeck, a shady gazebo dining area and individual pontoons with direct access to the water.  See the Resort map in the photo gallery for exact locations of each grade of Villa.

 

The 2-bedroom Royal Overwater Villa is similar to the Royal Pool Villa on the beachside, just at the end of the overwater pontoon.  They still have the same amenities, such as the private pool, 2 separate bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and large living room, but also glass floor panels, 2 pontoons with direct water access and stunning views across the lagoon.

 

If you are a large family, a group of friends travelling together or you just want to really splash out and spoil yourself, there is the Royal Estate Villa, offering a massive 16,146 sqft/1500sqm of living, outdoor and entertaining space (with 13,00sqft indoor/covered areas).  The villa offers three bedroom suites, including a huge Master Suite, each with ensuite bathrooms, two living/dining rooms, chef's kitchen, a private spa area with sauna, jacuzzi, treatment room and office, and all centered around the stunning central courtyard, with furnished sun terrace, private pool and another sundeck leading through to the solarium, which has bi-fold doors on 3 sides, making it airy and open plan with access to a large furnished deck and private beach.

 

The St Regis Resort offers 2 bars, with a swim up pool bar and 4 restaurants, including Far Niente Ristorante, an classic Italian restaurant, the signature Lagoon Restaurant, an overwater restaurant with a Polynesian/French/Asian influenced menu, Te Pahu Restaurant, a casual beachside seafood restaurant and daily American breakfast buffet, the Sushi Take Restaurant, Bora Bora's only traditional Sushi restaurant and the poolside Aparima Bar, offering light lunches and snack, plus and extensive beveragre selection. There is also 24 hours room service.

 

For your relaxation and sporting activity, there are two swimming pools, one being adult only, a world class spa and fitness centre on its own private island, tennis court and a Kid's Club. All water sports are available including deep sea fishing, snorkelling, swimming and diving. Some activities require a locally paid charge.
