The Sofitel Bora Bora Private Island resort is built on its own private motu, just a short boat ride from its sister hotel, the Sofitel Marara Beach Resort. The island is covered by tropical gardens, lush greenery and has three private beaches, surrounded by warm lagoon waters and coral gardens.
The Sofitel Bora Bora Motu is a very select resort with only 30 accommodation bungalows for adult couples and honeymooners; only children over 12 years are accepted on request. There are 20 Overwater Bungalows, 4 Island Luxury Hillside Lodges, 6 Island Luxury Beach Lodges and 1 Luxury Island Villa. All the thatched-roofed bungalows are very well appointed and are built out of local wood and materials, affording them a natural, traditional feel.
The Island Luxury Lodges are raised on stilts to give panoramic views and are set either around the shoreline of the island, or on a small rise amongst the tropical gardens, close to the beach. The offer 1 King bed, ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower, double vanities, hairdryer, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar with complimentary bottled water, satellite TV and DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, IDD telephone, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, work desk and chair, complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, sitting area with single sofa bed, and double sliding doors opening onto a private wrap-around deck with loungers and lagoon views.
The Island Luxury Overwater Bungalows are almost idienticle to the Lodges, but additionally have a glass window in the floor providing a prime viewing spot through which to view the lagoon's marine life below, and a tiered deck, with loungers, and breakfast table and chairs, an outdoor shower and steps down to a lower deck giving direct access into the warm water.
The unique Luxury Island Villa is a spacious 1-bedroom villa, (roughly double the size of the Lodges), that offers a separate bedroom with king bed, ensuite bathroom, separate living room, dining room and well-equipped kitchen. The private terrace gives direct access to the beach and is only a short walk to the main restaurant and bar area.
The Manu Tuki Restaurant offers some spectacular views of Bora Bora and its lagoon to go with the first class cuisine, and an excellent selection of wines from their cellar. For sundowners, the Mako Bar serves up a wide range of popular drinks and freshly mixed cocktails, all with panoramic island and lagoon views.
In addition, all the facilities of the Hotel Marara are available to the guests staying at the Sofitel Motu. However, the guests at the Marara are not permitted to use the facilities at the Sofitel Motu other than evening dining. Please note: whilst the Sofitel Marara, on the main island, is closed for refurbishment, there are free shuttle boats available to take guests across to the Intercontinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort and Le Maitai Polynesia.
We feel that the Sofitel Motu will be an ideal location for our clients who are looking for a touch of quiet, and private sophistication.

Airport Transfers
Round trip airport transfers are available and would automatically be included in any quote we provide. The Resort is approximately 20 minutes by boat from the airport

Late check-out time: until 6pm
Although there are frequent
international flights into Tahiti, there are limited airports of
embarkation to choose from, with currently only Paris, Los Angeles,
Auckland and Tokyo offering single plane air service to
Tahiti.
The international airline for French Polynesia. is Air Tahiti
Nui, who operate daily flights from Paris and Los
Angeles to Tahiti, and on some days there are additional fights
to/from Los Angeles. In addition, they operate two weekly flights
to/from Auckland and they serve Tokyo twice a week. Their services
to New York and Sydney have been suspended, at this
time.
Air France
currently offer a service from Paris, three times a week via Los
Angeles
Air New Zealand
operates daily flights via LA to Papeete, and 5 days a week from/to
Auckland with it's own aircraft. It also operates a codeshare
arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui providing seats on their fights
from Tahiti to Auckland and Los Angeles.
United Airlines operate 3 times
a week from San Francisco to Papeete, on Tuesday, Thursday and
Sunday, which will connect to their daily flight from
Heathrow.
Air Calin
operate a weekly flight between Noumea, in New Caledonia, and
Tahiti.
Hawaiian
Airlines provide a weekly service between Honolulu and
Tahiti, currently operating on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
LANChile
operate a flight once a week from Santiago to Tahiti via
Easter Island, providing the availability to do a great side trip
from Tahiti to Easter island.
Air Tahiti is
French Polynesia's domestic airline, which operates an extensive
domestic flight network covering all the country's main islands,
with at least a daily service. With the main Society islands
receiving a number of flights a day, since Air Moorea stopped
operations between Tahiti and Moorea, the flight connections now to
Moorea have become limited, most connections between the two are
now done by ferry boat.
The less populated and outer islands have a restricted service, so
sometimes a night stop in Tahiti may be required when connecting to
these islands.
Air Tahiti
provide the only air service between Tahiti and the Cook islands,
which they currently do once a week on a Thursday, an extra high
season flight is operated between June and August
There are a number of aircraft and helicopters available for private charters, but they all tend to be based in Tahiti so arranging charters between the outer islands can be expensive as the aircraft will originate and terminate in Tahiti. Tahiti Nui Helicopters are one such company that operate resort transfers (where helipad available), inter-island flights and sightseeing trips. Contact us for further info.

Pricing Policy
Prices are based on a per room, per night basis for single or twin occupancy, room only.
There is a daily Communal Tax that is paid in Bora Bora, which is paid directly to the hotel upon the guests' departure. This is currently 200 XPF (Pacific Francs - roughly EUR1.70/£1.60) which is paid per person, per day.
