Yasawa Island Resort

Located on the northern end of the Yasawa Island chain, this small and very exclusive island resort is just a short 35 minutes flight from Nadi.  It offers the discerning traveller the opportunity for total escapism in an unparalled tropical beachfront setting.

At Yasawa Island Resort, you can experience that Robinson Crusoe feeling, but at the same time be thoroughly pampered with every possible creature comfort.

The resort has just 18 modern bures, offering four types of accommodation; six 1-bedroom duplex Beachfront Bure Suites (bunglows),  ten 1-bedroom Deluxe Beach Bure,  one 2-bedroom Beach Bure, and one "Lomalagi" Honeymoon Bure.

All the bures have recently been remodelled and decorated and are now some of the nicest to be found anywhere in Fiji.  The duplex Beachfront Bure Suites, which are built on the side of a sandy rise, just a few steps up from the beach, offer an open plan, split-level living and bedroom area, with a king-size bed, large, well-appointed ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead, double vanity sinks, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries, a light and airy living area with sofas, coffee table and  wide-opening French doors to a large furnished deck with ocean views.   They also offer tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar/fridge with complimentary bottled water, in-room safe, hairdryer,  a radio/CD player, air-conditioning and ceiling fans as well as an outdoor beachside shower.

The Deluxe Beach Bures are larger than the Suites, are detached and offer the same amenities and facilities, but have a raised bedroom area, separated from the living room. Similarly, the 2-Bedroom Bure is, again, more spacious and offers 2 separate bedrooms, both with King beds.   The Lomalagi Honeymoon Bure, which is ideal for honeymooners or couples wanting complete privacy, is a very spacious bure with raised bedroom with king bed and French doors opening to the deck, and an airy, modern living room, again with doors to the furnished deck, and is located away from the main resort with it's own private infinity pool and beach area.

The dining experience at Yasawa is an integral part of your holiday experience, and the food is wonderful. Unlike many of the other-inclusive resorts, the dining room is arranged for individual dining, and all meals, picnics and non-alcoholic beverages are included in your price.  A private dining table for 2 can appear at a few moments notice, be it on the beach, beside the pool, amongst the swaying palms, or in the privacy of your bure.

Many activities are complimentary, including snorkelling, kayaks, SUP boards, tennis, catamaraning, windsurfing and bush walking. Visit the Blue Lagoon caves, the location for the filming of both the 1940 and 1980 versions of the "Blue Lagoon" movie or, with permission of the elders, visit the local Fijian village.  Scuba diving and deep sea fishing can be arranged and paid for locally.

The warmth and friendliness of the staff, combined with the resort's structural harmony with the island's environment and the bures being located right on the beach make a stay at Yasawa Island Resort a truly unique and quixotic experience.
