The Fiji Hideaway Resort is situated on the Coral Coast just a 25-minute drive past the town of Sigatoga. Located on the beach and built on the site of an old coconut plantation, the Hideaway Resort represents very good value for a beachfront property and is a popular hotel with British visitors on short stopovers in Fiji.

The Resort has 100 bures divided into five categories of accommodation; Frangipani (garden) Bures and Beachfront Ocean View bures, which both sleep up to three adults with 1 Queen and 1 Single bed, Beachfront Villa, which sleeps 2 adults on a King-size bed, the Deluxe Beachfront Bure that sleeps 3 adults on 1 King and a single daybed, and the 2-Bedroom Bures which sleep 6 adults, in 2 separate bedrooms with 1 Queen and 2 single beds, plus 2 extra single beds can be added in the separate lounge area.

The bures are set in a tropical garden that runs along the beach, either side of the restaurant and reception area. The bures and villas all offer air conditioning, ceiling fans, telephone, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, en-suite facilities and private outdoor bathrooms, complimentary toiletries, hairdryers, an iron/ironing board and a private deck and garden seating area.

The Resort offers dining options which cater for all palates.  The Chief's Restaurant  overlooks the pool and lagoon and offers a varied menu of fresh-caught fish, salads,  vegetables, meats and steaks.  All are cooked in local cuisine and traditional European styles. The Restaurant offers an All Day Dining option, and provides a full buffet breakfast and a varied lunch and dinner menu delivering offering lighter meals and snacks, such as pizzas, pastas, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as fresh fish, steaks and vegetables.   They also offer a good selection wine cellar and fully stocked bar to compliment your meal and a selection of fresh desserts to finish.

For the sporty and active, there are the usual wide range of activities available,  including free daily activities such as the Fitness Room, beach volleyball, tennis, kayaking, and guided garden tours, snorkeling (gear hire available), surfing, traditional village tours, Fijiian culinary classes, nightly traditional Kava Ceremony and cultural dance shows and the amazing Fire-walking Ceremony followed by traditional Lovo Feast every Thursday.

The on-site Rosie Tour Desk can arrange and book many different excursions and day trips for you, too!  And if you don't want to be active, you can just relax on the soft sand beach and in the warm water of the Lagoon and do nothing, or spend a quiet few hours at the Day Spa to experience a variety of relaxing spa treatments.

The resort is very child friendly with its own Hermit Crab Kid's Club plus the in-house baby sitting service.  The Kids Club offers many supervised fun and educational activies including treasure hunts, Fijian beach picnics, coconut basket weaving, bush walks, hand-line fishing and snorkeling lessons.

Hideaway is not a deluxe property, in some areas it may appear a little tired, but this is countered by the staff's friendliness and the very good value price charged for the very spacious accommodation, in a good location. The resort offers a relaxed environment in which to lay back and unwind, and to get out and enjoy all that Fiji has to offer.
